I love the layout of this restaurant as they open up the front for the summer season....
Got the bun rieu crab and tomato soup with noodles through the bring your own pot takeout menu. The bun rieu was tasty and was a decent portion size, enough for 5 people. It was not the cheapest bring your own pot, however you get many more options to choose from. Only issue was that the bring your own pot came with a wait of 25 minutes which we weren’t expecting - next time we would drop off the pot and run some errands nearby before coming back to pick it up. We also came here once for dine in and found the dining experience to be a bit better overall.
I ordered a beef vermicelli and salad rolls. The salad rolls were rather small and sad looking. There was hardly any beef in the vermicelli bowl! Would've liked to see more of everything
This place had the BEST sate beef sub when it first opened up. It’s since gotten busier and busier and the quality of the subs have dropped off dramatically. Now it’s 1-2 slices of beef, stacked with carrots and sloppily put together. I’m writing this in an attempt for them to take action and return to former glory, otherwise join the ranks of the staggeringly average Veit sub joints all over town.
I am not a five star kinda person, but this place was just so awesome. I wish I had taken a picture. So I had #49 a chicken vermicelli and spring roll. First off, best spring roll I have eaten, ever. The sauce for the vermicelli was delicious. I had a pineapple milkshake and if you like pineapple this is a must taste. The service was quick and friendly. I can not wait to come to this hidden gem again. Parking: Lots of parking
I brought my own pot and ordered the bun rieu crab pork & tomato. It is pretty tasty and pretty goos portion for $40. We had almost good 2 meals out for it for 4 people. I haven’t tried the other broths yet.
Interesting menu and food was decent. I would not go back to dine in though. It’s very crowded and uncomfortable. I love spring rolls that use the rice paper but this one was very chewy. The tapioca noodles were very good though. Will probably go back to order their pots of soup to go.
I love Chicken Pho Sate. I get the same thing every time I try a new Vietnamese restaurant. Here is what I look for and how I rate- 2 points service, atmosphere, and price. 3 point for food quality. My review: Atmosphere- Clean comfortable Service- quick, not friendly but not rude. I would give a 1.5 but cant give half points in google. Price was average. Total- 2 points Food- chicken was minimal and grizzly see picture Broth was bland. I added peanut sauce to try to improve taste. It is also bland and did not improve taste. I left it partially eaten. It isn't something I can just send back.. these are the basics... broth should be filled with sate flavor and the chicken should be a reasonable amount of chewable chicken. Total- 0 points
Food was delicious but everytime I come here the food is scorching hot to the point you have to wait a good amount of time before it cools down. The bun bo rieu is super spicy so don't recommend to most people.
First time there, staff was really friendly and the food was really good. They make probably the best durian shake in the city. Will definitely go back again!
The worse. Brought a pot there for mien ga for 4 ppl. $46 + gst. I'd have to agree with other posts out there. They use to be decently portioned.. now it's just sad. The amount of chicken they give is embarrassing. How much do you save anyways by being so cheap? Won't be coming back.
