As someone mentioned their NYE experience I experienced almost the exact same treatment, a bit worse: 0 STARS Called for a taxi after a friends bike tire popped coming to my place, we mentioned we had the bike dispatch said no problem - cab driver showed up and spent 5 minutes trying to aggressively jam the bike into his trunk while swearing and eventually getting so mad that he took the bike out and drove off without a care, even when asking for his cab number. (Figured it would help when calling back to get a cab who could fit the bike.) We called them back, which took a few attempts as they kept putting my friend on hold and hanging up immediately. I tried on my phone and explained politely about the situation and that we still needed a cab. Was then placed on hold.I hung up after 5 minutes (they didn’t pick back up) and called back and was told “We aren’t helping you” and once again was hung up on. I tried once more however they would just simply pick up and hang up immediately, zero care from this person. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED. Just don’t use this cab company, many other friendly options available! This company presents no accountability so any problems and there’s nothing you can do about it. If you have a bad experience they won’t care, so why take the risk?

I would give zero stars if I could! Do NOT use this taxi company! Do NOT spend your hard-earned $$$ on a company who treats customers with disrespect! Rude and total lack of customer service! I called at 12:20 am on NYE, totally expecting a wait, and was told 2-25 minutes roughly. Called back after 35 minutes just to find out if somehow we missed the taxi (I was with my Aunt who is a senior citizen) or if it was delayed. I started to talk to the female dispatcher, without I word from her, she put me on hold, then I was on hold for 5 minutes, someone picked up and hung up. It took me another 20 minutes to get back through as the lines were busy, the same female dispatcher answered, and without a word put me on hold AGAIN. Then after a few minutes the male dispatcher who seemed to be a supervisor spent the next 10 minutes on the line saying rude things like "I said ROUGHLY 2-25 minutes (after which I agreed that is what he said, however by this time it had been DOUBLE that time) and then he continued to basically say that if there are no taxi drivers near where your pick up is, they will simply pick up people off the street instead, and that he had no control over that and it was NYE. I told him that was BS and that people who call in should have priority, NYE or not. He spent a long time talking on and on and making excuses. When I tried to explain to him that I was upset and mostly because the female dispatcher put me on hold without telling me and then I waited and someone picked up and hung up on me and it took me 20 more minutes to get back through, when someone just needed to communicate with me. I had been listening to him, however when I tried to explain why I was upset (and I was NOT upset about waiting for a taxi, however rather the way they were treating me, a paying customer) suddenly he was too busy to talk to me, even though I had listened to him natter on for over 5 minutes. Customers are the bread and butter of any taxi company, and should be treated with respect regardless of how busy it is, even on New Year's Eve!

Had a driver almost hit my car by cutting me off without signalling. If I hadn't of breaker right away he would have hit me. He continued after passing me going around 90 in a 50 residential zone.

Love he drivers know them all very well. But I hate that you can book a cab for a certain time.. but is rarely avaible to pick up at that time even with 2 hours notice. Cause no cab in your area.

I was just coming off a bout of the flu and, since it was raining and I preferred being 60% alive than 60% dead, I called a cab. My go-to company had a wait time of 25 minutes so I decided to try another taxi service. The dispatcher was great, but unfortunately that was where the positives stopped. From the call time, I was told the wait would be 15-20 minutes. It ended up being more like 25, but okay, that's passable and nothing to moan about. (Although I'm just saying that if I had known it was going to take 25 minutes anyway, I would have gone with the other company in the first place.) When I got into the cab, I gave my address and the driver asked me something that I couldn't quite understand (I'm new to the city too so if anyone mentions a specific place that isn't a generic "downtown" has me completely lost). I asked him "I'm sorry?" and he repeated himself, still didn't understand, asked again, and he groused out a "Nevermind." As we drove to the address, I gave him some directions to get into the area I lived in. When I told him to stay in the right lane and follow it into a residential area, he replied: "Next time how about you drive?" I understand that he probably meant it as a joke, but firstly, that was rude, and secondly, that was completely unnecessary even if he did know where he was going. If someone you're driving gives you directions in the hopes of being helpful, it's so much less energy to say "yup" than it is to say "next time how about you drive?". Without even stopping as we reached my house, he just asked if I wanted to pay cash or debit, and when I replied debit, he took out the machine, input the numbers and handed it to me, all while turning the car around in a very narrow driveway. Impressive as his multitasking skills might have been, it definitely felt extremely unsafe and rushed. It's possible that maybe I just had a one-off bad experience with Victoria Taxi (though judging from the other reviews I somehow doubt that), but after today, I think I'll probably stick to the other company that I usually go to and save myself the trouble of dealing with unpleasant situations.
