Your standard small BCFerry terminal. No washrooms, but you can sneak into the Brentwood Bay hotel pub. This is a small capacity ferry, so plan ahead on busy times. Bicycles ride to the front of the line!
Runs on time. Staff always very efficient. Payment by credit card okay. Otherwise books of tickets from Thriftys Mill Bay or the Thriftys on Brentwood side. Staff off for lunch from 12 o'clock til 1pm. Ferry only takes 19 cars. Be there ahead of sailing time.
Great way to save time and energy in traffic. You will not make it on the ferry unless you are in the 2 loading lanes for the ferry however.
We frequently use this ferry route and each time we are amazed by how lovely the staff are. It always makes for a really nice ferry ride
Ferry crew DO take Credit & Debit cards, cash and also pre paid tickets bought locally which cut the fare in half. Great stress free short cut. Arrive 20mins early or more. BC Ferry MV Klitsa is rated for 19-22 cars. Busy in the summer months, expect a sailing wait. There are coffee shops, ice cream and easy wondering while you wait.
Warning: CASH or TRAVELLERS CHEQUE ONLY. Small commuter ferry. They will only take up to 20 vechiles or less depending on vechile length so arrive early. If you are heading up north island, this is a perfect route to cut through traffic of Victoria. In the peak season; the summer road congestion and on-going road construction, expect to save 1,5 hours of travel time by taking the ferry. Quaint ferry ride that is25 minutes long and spectacular views of water and land.

There is lots to look at if you go during low tide. Our grandchildren love it. Treasures under every rock.
