We absolutely loved our stay here last month! Easy to get to from the airport and a beautiful home in a really peaceful area. The room was immaculate and well-equipped, self check-in instructions were super easy. Not too much around in the local area as to be expected in such a quiet location! but super easy to get into the city on the metro which was only a 10-15 min walk away. Can highly recommend!
This house is situated in a peaceful and quiet neighborhood. The owner has converted their basement into two suites for Airbnb, and there's also a larger suite in the front yard. Our suite was very clean , convenient,comfortable and spacious offering complete privacy with its own separate entrance. During our stay, we didn't even see the host, ensuring a truly private experience.nThere are fast food restaurants in walking distance. The owner provided water and there was also coffee in the cabinet.
Just wow! We are so glad we found this place. This is my third time staying at this guest house, and it’s so much more clean than most hotels that are more expensive. We hesitated renting out the room at first, but all the hotels are 50+ YEARS OLD and more expensive. The last time we booked a 4-hotel in Vancouver, the mattress caved in the middle and seemed ancient. We decided to take a gamble and we’ve only chose this guest house ever since! Its quality is of an 5 star hotel, and everything is so new. Every time we come back to Vancouver, we book this place knowing we’ll have the peace of mind of having a clean place to rest after a long day of traveling.nnThe place is so cozy and wonderfully furnished. The mattresses feel perfect to support the weight of 2 adults and all the sheets are 5 star hotel quality. They feel so soft and clean, we slept so comfortably every night. During the summer days, they will have air conditioning in all rooms. Just remember to close the windows! Otherwise your cold air won’t be as cold. We really liked the fact that there is a smart TV equipped in every room to watch and relax after a long day of walking about the city.nnIn the morning time, you can go down to the kitchen and brew coffee. They have a place to make coffee and tea downstairs. They also have incredible wifi speeds for when we do remote work on our computers. There’s a big fridge downstairs for guests to leave their leftovers or drinks there.nnThe place is super convenient, just 10 minutes drive to the airport and Downtown.nThere are places to eat food just around the corner of the intersection. It’s literally 1 minute walk away SO CONVENIENT, and you can choose from A&W burgers, really amazing sushi that’s really good and surprisingly cheap, dominos pizza, and a Vietnamese pho restaurant.nnOne other thing is that the neighbourhood feels incredibly safe. A lot safer than downtown. It is an upscale neighborhood and the houses around the area looked like mansions! Super safe if you rent a car, you can park right in front of the house. Street parking is free and has no time limits which I absolutely love!nnMy husband and I would rate it 10+ more stars if we could. We will continue to stay here, and the few other guests we bumped into at the entrance are super friendly and seem to enjoy their hospitality too! I would recommend this guest house to everyone
There was someone else’s hair on the shampoo bottle in the shower. Other than that everything was very clean and friendly. This is a house with multiple rooms for rent like a hotel but the common areas are shared with the house hold. No fridge in the room so drinks were down in the common fridge.nThey allowed smoking on the front deck so that was a bonus! All around nice stay
Vancouver West Cozy Retreat offers the following: Seamless check in, complete privacy, ultra clean, super comfy bed, complimentary coffee and tea in the morning and charming hosts who are happy to chat or give you space. The vibe is chill and very relaxing. The location is central with shops and restaurants close by and a bus stop just steps away if you're using transit. I enjoyed my stay very much and highly recommend this property. It's an urban gem!
