The purpose of my visit was to spend a night relaxing in a nice hotel room. I had a rather disappointing experience. I had a wonderful view of the offices across the street and I had the luxury of smelling the fumes from a restaurant down the street. I booked a king room which was supposed to have a city view. It had a little terrace staring directly into the offices next door with absolutely no privacy. The alley on that side of the hotel stinks of grease. The manager told me that all of the rooms face the office building, which is not true because I am certainly capable of looking up at the building from the ground. I was supposed to get a bottle of wine for being a gold member but it was not in the room and I had to ask for it; twice. The bed was nice and comfortable and the shower was ok. The room was very clean. So disappointed because I was really looking forward to spending time in the room. It made it hard to want to spend time outside or open the terrace door with the smell. When I asked for late checkout they could not accommodate me. They said they would be happy to let me use the hotel amenities all day however the only amenity I wished to use was the bed; to sleep in. If you book here and want a better experience I suggest making sure you have a room facing the street side of the building rather than the alley and make sure you are high enough for an actual city view above floor 15 maybe. I would suggest staying elsewhere if you are looking for a hotel to spend time in. I lament wasting my money on this place.
Staff was AMAZING! Everyone was so helpful and kind. They made My Birthday stay extra special and I will definitely come back to Paradox. Beautiful rooms. Phenomenal food. Wonderful staff. Amazing amenities and Excellent location. First class treatment in a first class establishment
We had a beyond phenomenal stay at the Paradox for our honeymoon! Our room was stunningly beautiful, staff were extremely friendly, warm, and helpful, and the attention to detail was unmatched. Probably our favorite hotel ever! Special shout out to Maya at the front desk, she helped us get checked in and told us a ton of things to do around town as well as tips for free shuttles, discounts, etc. We showed up having not planned much and she helped make our trip extra fun! I would recommend this hotel FOR SURE and we hope to make it back someday!
100% worth every penny. We had the One Bedroom Suite and it’s equipped with 2 full bathrooms 3 sinks in total, which is unheard of. Not to mention a balcony too!! I’m so impressed by the service, cleanliness, tech in the rooms, and all the little details. I will forever recommend this hotel to friends and family visiting Vancouver. Couldn’t be more impressed
I’ve stayed at several nice hotels before but what really stood out to me was the 5 star level of service at this hotel. Yes the hotel and rooms were nice shower was kinda weird and toilet was a bit cramped but other than that it was a great room. The service was undefeated! From the housekeeping to the in room dining to front desk, it was all above and beyond. We even got a complimentary wine bottle upon arrival which came in handy. Would definitely stay here again!
