I stayed here over the Taylor Swift weekend with my mom, sister, and friend and could not have been more pleased with the experience. Everyone working the front desk was so patient and kind, despite the chaos of the weekend, the rooms were nicely updated, clean and comfortable, the location was fantastic for a weekend in the city, and housekeeping was exceptional, tidying up our room before noon both days. They also accommodated our request to have two rooms next to each other. Lastly, the rooms were relatively reasonably priced compared to what every other hotel in the city was trying to charge. Thank you, Holiday Inn, for the great weekend! Your staff is outstanding.
Had 3 nights in a King room on the 4th floor. Rooms are recently refurbished with a fresh and neutral colour scheme. Fresh, fluffy towels with Dove toiletries. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. Great location and convenient to restaurants, coffee shops, public transport, and getting around the sitting by foot.nDowntown location, so usual traffic and street noise can be disturbing for a light sleeper.nAid conditioning can be noisy, too. My husband was undeterred by this, but it did bother me.
It was a great stay. The rooms were clean, the beds & pillows were comfortable, the climate control was modern as well as the furnishings & decor. A small balcony that looked out behind the hotel was a bit noisy at times due to the alleyway below.nKettle, refrigerator, Keurig coffee and teas.nClose to amenities, also a covered outdoor space to sit and / or smoke. Restaurant downstairs was great and the room service was convenient & quick with tasty food and reasonable prices.nDownside - the elevators, until we became used to it, we felt like we were in the twilight zone! Parking was $40/day but secure and very much required imo. Also, there is not a lot of space for storage and clothing.
We have had an absolute blast at this hotel and I am so grateful for everyone’s top notch service however I want to give a very special shout out to Liza and Katrina at the bar for there outstanding service, hospitality and friendliness. Both of them are so professional and kind and they both have made our experience in Vancouver that much more meaningful and special. Thank you to you two and to Holiday Inn for your service and professionalism.nWe will definitely be back!!
I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Warm and welcoming staff, nicely updated rooms and decent location in downtown. The only complaint was the noise from the bar below our room, it was very loud until late in the night and we had to request earplugs.from the front desk which they nicely provided.
