My experience at this hotel was horrible, I was placed on a floor that was going under renovations and the constant smell of paint, concrete and spackle was not only gross but also bad for my health. The second I entered my room I noticed that my bed had a total of 5 hairs scattered throughout the bed, not only that but when I went down to the pool for a swim I was greeted with large clomps of long black hair that my friends and I had used the pool scoop to get rid of but there was still more, not to mention the bandages that were at the bottom of the pool, and when I notified the staff about this they seemed unfazed by this disgusting experience and simply told me that no on was able to clean the pool at the moment, in my mind if the pool is in such a state you should must likely close the pool. he also didn’t even care that I had mentioned my concern and it over all was a very rude experience. The pool was musky and uncleaned and my room had long black hairs and the floor I paid full price for was under construction and the staff were unpleasant to speak to. I will not be staying here again.
Great location and very friendly helpful desk staff. They look after IHG rewards members well.nA great location for us to stay at while going to the Rugby 7s. An easy walk to and from BC place with an excellent White spot just round the corner. Their special milk shakes are just the bestnThe new refurbished rooms are very comfortable and quiet. The room even had an electric Kettle as well as the ubiquitous Kurig. A real plus for those of us that like a good cup of tea in the morning.nBeing able to leave our car for a late pickup after the Rugby 7s was very helpful despite the steep $33 daily parking charge....
Really great location within walking distance of trains and all of the downtown tourist attractions and aquabus stops. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay.nLarge and newly renovated rooms were kept exceptionally clean and the hotel was quiet.nOnly downside is it's a bit tricky to find your way around on the elevators!
A fairly good location. They had clean comfortable beds. Service was great. The place is being updated, which will hopefully improve the soundproofing. I agree with other reviewers: the street is very loud. We were on the 4th floor and it was fine, but any lower would have kept me awake. Did not try the gym or pool so no comment there. All told, perfectly serviceable for an overnight layover and short city tour.
It would have been nice to know we were booking a room in a construction zone! Banging and grinding all day. Tools, materials, extension cords scattered through the halls, strong smell of paint. Extremely unhappy with the state of this hotel during our stay - it should have been deeply discounted, at the very least! Nothing was offered, will not be staying here on our next trip
