Van Houtte (Metro Cote-Vertu)

Need to wait for a bus that comes in 1 hour?, Need internet? Come here and buy a nice coffee to relax! I really like this place because of the stuff they sell and because I come here to wait my 902 bus. They sell: sandwiches, coffee, juice, tiny fruit packages, yogurt, muffins and slices of cake! The staff is also very friendly.

It is a good place to study and hang out with friends. Unfortunately, the owner is really strict about bringing outside food into the store (which is understandable)... BUT the wifi doesn't work all the time unfortunately. It really sucks since I like to go there enjoy a coffee while doing my work. I usually have to steal A&W wifi. Either the wifi is not connecting or it is rreeaaallly sloow. Overall, the staff are friendly and it has a nicr atmosphere.

Good location for people taking public transportation or living nearby, free parking not always available. Cool design and decoration, especially the high ceiling and large front windows. Quality of beverages including taste may vary from order to another, especially the ones with infused flavours. Last time I ordered an iced tea and it was very watery and lacking flavour (check the image). Generally I like their coffee but I'd recommend to ask them whether it's a fresh brew.

I used to go to this place on a regular bases every weekend. One time I was there and they served me a rotten carrot muffin. I showed it to the waiter he through it away and refused to replace it with any other muffin rather than carrot from the same type (ROTTEN MUFFIN). He refused even to refund me. I filed a complain on Van Houtte website they never replied to me. After calling the branch owner she apologized and said if I come back she will offer me a muffin and a coffee.
