Valley View Motel

Very pleasant older property that has been well maintained. The hosts are very pleasant people and do a good job of keeping the grounds cared for. The only reason for not being 5 star is that the older design is not as spacious as some newer places. I highly recommend this property. Picture taken from our room cabin door.

Chose this place based on the good reviews it had. Nice self-contained unit with 2 beds and a futon for the 3 of us. Very nice. However, upon waking up in the morning, noticed a bug on the floor that was unfamiliar. Also noticed severel small red spots on my upper leg. Was concerned that this could be from bedbugs, having never encountered them before. Pulled back the sheets and found what looked like the skin of a bug, along with lots of small hairs towards the foot of the bed and 2 long hairs as well (I have very short hair). Had the lady at the front desk come look. She informed us that these bugs were not bed bugs, and that the hairs were likely dog hairs that get interwoven in the sheets and can't always get caught by the cleaners. Having been somewhat disturbed with these findings, we asked for a discount on our rate, when she told us that the rate was already as low as she could go. No apology, only excuses. Such a shame, as this was a nice place. Truly ruined a nice stay.

This place is adorable and feels like a quiet night at the cabin. Would rather stay here than a $200 room in a high rise any day. The fridge was actually plugged in and cold when we got there so we didn't have to put food/drinks in a warm fridge. The cards and crib board were an awesome touch.

Clean and nice cabins. Beautiful views to. Very nice place and affordable.

Great family atmosphere! Dog friendly too. We were arriving late and that was no problem for the owners. Cozy room and a little porch :) We will visit again!
