I like to go into my local branch. I like personal service. Lately I have noticed a real decline in the customer service. Don't get me wrong, the tellers I deal with are amazing people who know their stuff! I'm very happy with their ability to help me with all my needs. However, it seems that lately when I go in to the branch, they do not have enough staff on and there is ALWAYS a long wait. They have staff milling about doing nothing, but do you think they could step away from their obvious boredom to help out a customer or 2? Yesterday when I was in the branch, there was 1 person on and 5 people waiting. The customer she was helping had a very complicated transaction that require many sign offs from a manager. So it was taking a substantial amount of time. There were 4 other employees visible. Finally after I had been there 10 minutes, another person came up to help and took the next in line. He had a literal full grocery bag of cash that had to be counted. So there we all were waiting. It was almost 20 minutes before I got to the counter. There is absolutely no reason for that at all!
On July 7th my experience I believe the front line advisor was Alison? Apologies if I am incorrect- seated on the far left side of the teller line. I am an ex employee of a different branch but have always kept my accounts- will be moving away; buying a home out of province and required a draft. And I arrived close to closing time- wow the service I received was outstanding!!!! Thank you so much for being so kind, patient and detail oriented with my request. They were interested in my transaction, I appreciated being asked "where are you taking the money?" Lots of places don't ask so this was nice made me feel welcome and that my business mattered. Big thank you and kudos to the front line advisor. I always use a screen name for safety but given the date & detail I believe the staff will recall who I am. Many thanks.

Excellent service at the branches, and email. Five stars Through phone though, is a hell. Each time I call I have to wait one hour, without anyone answering the line, or even waiting for two hours nobody calls back. I am already 20 minutes into my call. The only time I got through to them on the first try, and within second, was when they had power failure, and their phone were not working for hours. I was lucky to call as soon as they got back
First class financial institution. The ladies on both sides of the bank, and insurance are an absolute pleasure to work with. Natasha and Kristen truly went above and beyond to ensure that we were receiving every possible discount and benefit while insuring our personal and commercial vehicles. Natasha even stayed late to accommodate our lengthy requirements. She handled every question with grace and knowledge. Highly recommend either of those ladies for any insurance needs. On the banking side, we were equally impressed with the customer service we received from Nicole in particular. She also went above and beyond accommodating all our requests and inquiries. Bunch of unprofessional employees working here, specially in the mortgage field. One of the guy name karamjit Brar or kamm Brar whatever his name is I applied for mortgage , provided all the papers he needed for process and he didn’t even care to answer the phone calls or let us know through email about the bank decision even after month or two.after waiting for that much time when I visited the bank that guy told me that our rate of interest is high that’s why I didn’t even care to reply back. After that I went to BMO they approved my mortgage in one week with lower rate of interest. Please try to stay away from this bank and save your important time
Bad advice on car insurance, didn't properly follow up on a mortgage inquiry and left voicemail twice but never got a call back. Switched to Tangerine bank.
Always friendly and helpful. A big thanks to Kristin Mead for all of her help with ICBC.
Excellent customer service, great banking options. Strongly recommend.
