UPDATE: In addition to my pest problem...
My unit was broken into this last week. All my stuff was taken. They didn't even cut the lock- they just got the door off its track and pried it up. Garbage unit. Garbage construction. Not secure against ANY threats.
Storage units are priced well enough for their sizes. Mine had a wasp problem when I first moved in. Now that the weather is colder, I have seen a very obvious presence of everything from beetles, spiders (and their webs) as well as many many mouse droppings EVERYWHERE (they climb up on all of the wooden beams on the back wall of the unit, so elevating important things won't keep them safe). The units are not sealed well at all, the door to my particular unit is hard to close, and I generally don't want to put anything I care about in it. I feel like if you got one of the units with another unit along its back wall, it might be a little bit better but probably still not super pest-proof. These units would likely be okay for things you would be okay with storing out in a shed, but I would not recommend putting anything not easily cleaned and disinfected in them, like upholstered furniture. Overall, I'm pretty disappointed with the unit. I've thought about contacting Welcome Home about the issues, but short of just ripping down the units, there's really not realistically anything that can be done. There's just too many little cracks and holes all over the unit.
If you are looking for a unit through Welcome Home, I would strongly recommend the Northwest units in Potlatch. They were very neat and I had zero pest issues in them.

Overall, a very nice self-storage solution. Everything is automated and easy to use. The hours are very limiting, especially considering the self-automation.
