University of Waterloo Health Services

Receptionists are either unprofessional or just don't know what their jobs are supposed to be. Called them to make an appointment which took over 15 minutes when it should have taken 2 minutes at most. The first receptionist kept saying to hold and when I finally got someone on the line, it's a different person on the other end. This happened twice! The type of services available are not enough! No wonder students don't feel like they can get help because the staff and the services are incompetent and insufficient! UW keeps saying that they care about the students. Well if they actually did then the health of students should be a big concern for them.

Haven't had one good experience her. Took forever to make an appointment, then they called me and cancelled my appointment, my next appointment got rescheduled on me, then I waited over an hour because they 'forgot about my appointment'. I had asked for a female doctor and was given a male. I answered the same questions about my health history over and over. I have had a few appointments here and it always feels like a waste of time.

The ladies at the front reception were great. One of the ladies was going to take a break but waited until all the students in line had been attended to before she did so. The staff was overly welcoming, which is unusual for a walk-in clinic. Nurses were extremely friendly. The Doctor was patient and informative. He took his time and ensured all bases were covered. This was my first time after being a student for 2+ years and I would definitely go back.

I have never had a bad experience here. It is much better than my doctors back home, and every staff person I have met has been so kind.

Does this star mean one? Because this place deserve a negative 10. I really don't like this place. Doctors just don't care, (except Dr. Gupta, he does seem to care) and I have had appointments with a bunch of them. It's been three years of me going to UWaterloo health services for different problems. And with the many, many appointments I have had with them, the issues I went to them for has remained unsolved. I have waited for about 45 minutes to an hour for a family doctor to show up for a scheduled appointment. And they're all kind of weird. I really don't want to walk into that place again.
