Horribly overcharged for vaccines, lost about $400 from overcharges. Avoid!

We went to the travel clinic hoping to get timely service and enhanced travel advice compared to a family doctor, but we received neither! When we arrived, we waited at least 5 minutes at the front desk before anyone served us, even though staff were standing right in front of us doing other tasks. Then we waited 55 minutes to see the doctor who spent about 5 minutes with two of us for a "Consultation Fee" of $55.00 per person, not including vaccinations. Yikes! The doctor did apologize that her staff somehow put through 3 appointments that were scheduled after us before us, but no real explanation or compensation was offered. Go to your family doctor or another clinic instead!

I went to the clinic today. I arrived 45 minutes earlier than my appointment (just in case I need to fill out some paperwork, which I had to fill out). Before visiting, I had already done my research (which is what I would advise for most people to do) and I knew exactly what vaccines I need to have. The only thing doctor did, which I did not consider, is advised me on some additional medication that cost me $35 all together. Yes, the doctor spent 5 minutes with me, but honestly, you have google and you can search what vaccines are recommended to the country you will travel to. No need to complain why your lack of ignorance if the doctor's fault. Just ask for additional advise if you are unsure of something.
They gave a folder with some more documents that provided more info on vaccines relevant to the place you will travel to. I found them helpful. Read through them. They literarily tell you who can take meds and vaccines, when to take them, and why take them. With the previous research knowledge, it all got tide in together very well.
Nurses were ok. They forgot to give me back my immunization paper. Now I have to call them and get it some day.
I took a cab there, but when I tried to get home, I took a bus. It took forever for the bus to come (not the clinic's fault). Thus, take precaution when considering getting there and back by bus.

I've been here a few times and I have nothing but great things to say about it. The doctors are very insightful and helped me understand what I needed for my trip. I would recommend this clinic to anyone looking to travel.

Prices are high. Go to other travel clinic on Weber Street in Kitchener. Better prices and better service for same vaccines.
