Union Station

I visited Union Station Toronto on 8th November 2024.nIt is one of most convenient yet too busy railway station in Toronto.nThe good thing is that you can access trams, buses and other transmission at the same place.nThe assembly area is a good work of art with modern touch.nWe can find almost all major food points within Union Station.

An amazing transportation hub with impressive architecture opened 1914, Beaux-Arts style. Boarding VIA was easy; the main hall spacious, and the VIA business lounge relaxing. Easy to get to our platform using ramps and escalators, all either indoors or protected from the weather. IN other parts of the building, there are food and shops and other services. Using the commuter aspect GO trains was a much busier affair - being rush hour - lots of people coming and going - a little confusing for me - but there was signage and when you find someone who works there security or customer service they are incredibly kind and helpful. Shout out to the woman in the orange vest on Jan 27, 19:50 who informed us we didn't have to wait until 22:00 to take the GO train to Niagara; we could board the Lakeshore West GO to Burlington then get on a bus to Niagara - thank you - you got us home 2 1/2 hours earlier and I appreciate it!

I LOVE union! Always so much going on, and a great food court downstairs. The TTC is usually smooth and today I had the pleasure of Brianna helping me at the Presto station purchasing a FIFA card! Despite the chaos and abundance of tourists, she was genuinely happy to speak with everyone in line. Her smile and kindness wiped away all the stress I was carrying! TTC, I hope you know how lovely Brianna is and how much she seems to care about the passengers going through Union. Love my new FIFA presto card!

I was overjoyed to finally see Union Station in-person. The architecture is absolutely stunning. I love how you can connect through underground tunnels to get to various buildings including malls. Reminds me of Montreal's underground city.nnHowever, they need more signs. It was very hard as a first-timer trying to navigate and find my train/wing. They should also have more tables near seats for persons who need to eat when their train is delayed.

This was so cool to see being from Edmonton. The place has so much history. Easy signs to read and we enjoyed the trains . Very cheap way to get around . Way better than a taxi !
