It's lovely here, and it's easy to get lost! I dislike that some of the stores only take debit and credit cards. C'mon, legal tender is money! I enjoyed the DJ, eating in the food court, and you'll search for a seat. There are boutiques that are lovely, and the employees are equally as lovely. Detox Market is fun, and the care andnknowledge of the staff is amazing! Kudos to Detox. A credit only pastry place wasn't fun, and I found the employees were off-putting and a tad rude. Dresden closes Sept 13/2024.
When we fully immerse ourselves in the city, we become flâneurs or badauds, observers and interpreters of urban life. We watch the unfolding drama of city life and read its signs. The best psychological defense mechanism for city dwellers is not indifference or numbness but rather an immersion in the sights, sounds, emotions, and sensations that the city offers. Charlie Chaplin saw the city resident as a collector of small incidents. The city is not only a tangible, physical entity but also a product of our imagination and experience. Whether we travel by bus, train, subway, drive ourselves, or walk, we create our own mental map of the city as we go.nnTo live in a city means to engage with it, not just pass through it. It’s about allowing the hustle and bustle to permeate your senses, becoming a part of the environment rather than a detached spectator. Cities, with their endless layers of activity and noise, offer a vast tableau of experiences to those who choose to observe closely.
Union is a great place to visit for tourists for many reasons: easy access to the CN tower, Rogers center, all GO Train lines that go through Toronto, subways, the UP express train to Pearson airport, the Harbourfront, and so much to see even just in union station! Art murals, paintings, Toronto history, shops, restaurants, Canadian snacks... To summarize, union is a must-go for tourists in Toronto, with easy access to popular tourist spots. Just be sure to bring a map!
It’s a good station and convenient to use the MetrO to go to different neighborhoods particularly because one can pay directly with a credit card
It is so beautiful and enormous. Pretty confusing for new people. NO PROPER SIGNS/MARKINGS to reach Union GO Bus terminal from the Union Station. I had 8 other random people looking for the bus terminal and no proper signage or symbols to simplify the path. The place is vast and proper navigation aids are a must.nI hope this factor is considered for further developmentsnnStill the staff was very much helpful in directing me the way but yet I missed my bus because I had to look everywhere which reduced my speed
