It's a nice very modern train station you can use to get to the airport but mostly people now use the up express to commute downtown
the Western up location is a great place to go to the dome for a game. 11 bucks per person round-trip and you don't have the hassle of getting in and out of the Rogers center area
Weston, located in the northwest part of Toronto, is a charming and diverse neighborhood with a lot to offer. I had the opportunity to explore Weston recently, and I was pleasantly surprised by its unique character and vibrant atmosphere.nnOne of the standout features of Weston is its rich history and architectural beauty. The area is dotted with beautiful heritage buildings and landmarks, showcasing its past and adding to its overall charm. The historic Weston Village area, in particular, has a quaint small-town feel with its charming shops and eateries.nnThe community spirit in Weston is evident through the various local events and festivals that take place throughout the year. I had the pleasure of attending one such event during my visit and was impressed by the lively atmosphere and the strong sense of community pride. The residents were friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall positive experience.nnWeston also boasts several parks and green spaces, providing opportunities for outdoor activities and relaxation. Cruickshank Park, in particular, offers a peaceful retreat with its picturesque walking trails and scenic views.nnIn terms of amenities, Weston provides a good range of services, including local shops, restaurants, and grocery stores. While it may not have the same level of variety as larger commercial areas, it still offers the essentials and showcases local businesses.nnOne area for improvement would be transportation options. While Weston is well-served by public transportation, including bus and train routes, it can sometimes be challenging to access other parts of the city during peak hours. However, efforts are being made to improve transportation infrastructure in the area, which is a positive development.nnOverall, Weston is a hidden gem in Toronto, offering a delightful blend of history, community spirit, and natural beauty. Whether you're exploring the local shops, enjoying a walk in the park, or attending a community event, Weston provides a unique and enjoyable experience. I highly recommend visiting this charming neighborhood and immersing yourself in its welcoming ambiance.
It's a very nice station. It's well lit, it's fairly easy to get to by TTC, and the UP Express is great.nnMy only gripes are that the station building is only open during weekday rush hours platforms are always available, so you can't use the washroom or check-in for a flight if you arrive outside of rush hours; and that GO service to Kitchener only runs in the peak direction as well, so no quick hops to the KW or St. Jacob's Market.nnOtherwise, a great station to use, and I'm hoping for improvements on both fronts!
Stopped at this station few times to transfer from a Go train to the UP Express heading to the airport. Most of the time both trains are on the same platform, but once I had to switch platforms and it was very stressful and ended tapping the wrong machines. Please enhance the lighting when it's dark.
