Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport

Loved flying out of this small and cozy airport. The ferry didn't operate the day we went, but the tunnel provided for an easy access from the city. I had 2 suitcases so I just grabbed a free cart right at the entrance to the tunnel and the walk was a breeze.nThe service at the airport is quick and efficient, the check in to our flight and security screening took us 15 minutes.nAfter that you get to enjoy the comfy seating areas equipped with charging ports, and taking in the views of Toronto skyline from the large windows.

Small, compact airport. I had to change airports in a hurry and it was easy to navigate. The staff is friendly, but the check-in guy was not very positive. Clean, crowded but roomy. In my rush I didn't have time to enjoy the views of the city from the airport window, but it's in an accessible area and has nice views of downtown.

The free shuttle is extremely inconsistent and does not run every 15 minutes as advertised. It’s possible to be waiting over 30 minutes before the bus starts moving. Combined with a travel time of approximately 15 minutes, your trip could take 45 minutes or more. For comparison, it only takes 34 minutes to walk!nnThe Island Airport is otherwise extremely convenient and the shuttle drivers are kind and helpful. However, increasing the shuttle service’s reliability to levels as advertised would be a major improvement, helping reduce vehicle congestion and further enhance the airport’s competitiveness.

Under rated airport in Toronto. Not as busy as Pearson but just as good for destinations that it satisfies. Quick and efficient. Great value and not as congested/complicated. Great for downtown folks. Great service and comfortable.

I like small airports. This is one is perfect. Easy access because is close to the city. Simple, practical, secure, clean and organized. Not a lot of people and that is a good thing. The views from the city are espectacular. I like the idea of using the ferry to get there or leave.
