Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport

I remember the tiny airport that preceded this one. Such a pleasure to fly in and out of. The new one has much of the same allure. Efficient and small enough to still be personal and friendly. Despite some of the reviews, I love the short ferry ride. A charming throwback to a time when traveling wasn’t such a nightmare. There’s now a soulless tunnel that feels endless when you’re in it. It may save you a few minutes but I will be taking the ferry until they stop taking passengers. With it’s dramatic city views and lazy ducks circling that you can watch from the open air deck. Thank you, Billy Bishop for keeping fun travel alive.

Awesome airport! The overall experience I had with the airport and Porter Airlines is very good. Right from the complimentary shuttle from Union Station, to fast and easy check in and security, to the lounge, all these things made my flight experience so easy and convenient. The complimentary drinks and snacks is such a good gesture on part of Porter. Security and check in were also much smoother than flying out of Pearson. The day I flew out, there was a low intensity snow storm, and even though the weather conditions were pretty bad, there wasn't much of a delay; just around 30-40 minutes. The only drawback was there were no power outlets that I could find in the lounge. Also, one of the employees at security was rude, but compared to everything else, this is a small drawback. Will defintley fly out of here again if I'm travelling to cities that Porter serves.

In early November I was traveling and had lost my identification before flying out of Toronto to Halifax. Having this issue was extremely stressful and made it nearly impossible to fly. Annette, a member of the air canada team was so helpful and I couldn’t have been more lucky to have had her assistance with this issue. She made me feel at ease and I knew I was in good hands, she made sure my issue was resolved and that I got onto my flight. Had I been at any other airport I’m not sure how this situation would have went and I’m so grateful for having had such a good experience.

Always enjoy the experience of visiting this airport. Very convenient with quick access to Union station. There is a complimentary shuttle to Union station. You can either ride the elevators down and walk through the tunnel to the terminals or take the ferry. The ferry is every 15 minutes and takes less than 5 minutes to reach the terminals.

Have to walk 10min with heavy luggage on a snowy road to the portal from bus stop. Is there any direct shuttle bus from somewhere? Easy to get here from downtown tho:)
