This clinic is very convenient location for the workers in the downtown area. All doctors are very caring and experienced professional doctors. This clinic is very busy, so you have to come in early to book an appointment for later times. I had no issues with any staff in this medical clinic.
Ultima no longer exists here as a walk-in clinic. If you were previously a patient of Dr. Horne then you can call to arrange online teleconference appointments with her, but only the physiotherapy clinic which shares the space is currently operating at this physical location. It’s a real shame. This clinic was the best in the city. Darn you, covid!
I am thoroughly surprised by all the terrible reviews as this was THE best walk-in clinic I have ever been to. I called the day before to confirm what time they opened and the lady on the phone was super nice. I went in the next day at 8am and was out of there by 8:45. The female doctor I saw was thorough and asked lots of questions to make a proper diagnosis - I didn't feel rushed through at all. Professional, clean, and very kind... I will go back to this clinic again and have already been recommending it to others.
No wonder the ratings are so low. Had been coming here over the years for minor appointments and drivers medical exams. Went this morning and they tell me they won’t take walk ins or new patience. Ironic as I am not a new patients AND there is a big sign on the door saying NEW PATIENTS WELCOME.
A busy walk in clinic inside the Bentall towers. If it's busy in the morning you can arrange to come in later on the day at a set time which is helpful if you work in the area.
Since I am a private patient and have to pay for services I do expect some kind of a customer service. The doctor, which I've seen and still going to see for my result wasn't too bad. He had fantastic reviews online but to be fair I didn't spend too much time with him to be able to judge him. I was slightly disappointed I have to pay again just to get my results, since I have been to many walk in clinics before and if coming back for a check up or results there was never another payment. Since I didn't expect it and didn't have any money on me I still have to go back.. However I will make sure that I will do so when one of their receptionist is not there! SHE WAS AWEFULL! her attitude and customer service is none existing.... When she was booking me for an ultrasound over the phone, she was so loud that the whole surgery knew what ultrasound I'm getting and what is possibly wrong with me... There was about 6 ppl in waiting room now knowing my very private issues... 3 times I had to deal with her and 3 times I walked out very disappointed and angry. One doesn't need to deal with this kind of a behavior when already feeling sick. Wish me luck next time I go there ....
Professional and courteous front desk. Scheduling as a walk in requires patience as there are people ahead of you, but the Clinic isvery good at telling you when to come back and keeping that commitment. I have found the physicians excellent.
Every single person at the front desk is the most kind and hard working medical staff I've ever encountered, especially the young blonde. She's just the sweetest. Marilyn Horn is a fabulous doctor and the rest I've seen there are pretty good too!
The doctors there are great, and two receptionists are so polite and friendly however there is a third one that is truly unprofessional and rude. In fact she is the reason myself and my husband have now stopped going there. She ALWAYS ask for the 'reason for your visit' and I always say to see my doctor.. She pushes for you to tell her the actual reason, for example ' A pap smear', although I know she has been asked over and over not to do this because people who work in open environments are not comfortable with explaining their medical requirements out loud. Nor should we have to. She should ask 'how long of an appointment do you need'. Her name is Reckah or something like that. She is the kind of person who definitely should not be working in a position where she is 'communicating' with the public.
I've had several apts at the Ultima clinic over 3 years. The consistently best clinical response , has been with Dr. Wilson. The reception staff are better than any other clinic I've been to, including family doctors and specialist offices over the years. Ultima office staff are cool, professional and efficient from what I 've experienced. The only reason not giving 5 stars, is for not anticipating an illness related crises, so undertreating/under responding at the time. However, failure to treat is a pervasive and serious problem in the lower mainland right now -and for years. The other comments certainly reflect that general experience. Health care is failing us, what can we do about this, and when !!!! Margie deMello
