Although it is difficult to work with the call centre in Arizona, if you go to the actual location the staff are great to work with. Honest, hard working group of people. Make sure you return the vehicle with the fuel level correct. There is a gas station just across the street if you forget.

They told me if I drop the uhaul off after hours that it would still only be a one day charge. So I did that. Then the checkout online charged me for two days, so I declined to pay it. It said someone would contact me. NOBODY CONTACTED ME and they STOLE MY MONEY and double charged me. I would strongly suggest finding another moving and storage company if you need services like this because it's very clear that no one had their stuff together when we rented it. EDIT: They refunded me a portion of the amount so I have raised my rating from 1 star to 3 stars. The fact that this was an issue at all prevents me from going higher.

Needing storage for several months this past autumn, Uhaul seemed to be the cheapest option at the time, and this location the most convenient for me. Trying to book a unit however, is a first-come, first-serve basis. So the only way you are guaranteed to get a unit is if you see it and book it day of. Having a time-sensitive schedule for travelling, I had to visit a few times, and then I ended up booking a unit a few weeks in advance just to make sure I had it. I should note at this point that while I was inquiring about unit availability, I also inquired about how much time I could pay for, if it was always monthly or what. The person I talked to at the front desk told me that if there were anytime paid for which I no longer needed, I could get a refund for that time. (important for later in this story/review) They also demanded I use one of their cylindrical locks... I could understand that, as the encased locks are good for B&E prevention, however, I had my own encased lock... it just didn't happen to match the exactly rounded shape of theirs, so they made me pay ten bucks for a lock in order to have my locker (even though it would be empty for a few weeks). I prepaid for the several months I would be away. Yet, when I returned, I came back to an extra lock on my cage. I had to walk, then, from the units all the way around the exterior of the building (they do not have in-building access back to the office), to inquire as to why I had this additional lock on my cage. To which their response was "I dunno...you're all paid up" after their several minutes of clicking on the computer. Yep. "I dunno." It took 10 minutes for someone to come and take that lock of my cage. So then, we roll into the next month, when I had to make another visit to the unit. Again, I was all paid up. Yet, I arrived to find a second lock placed on my cage yet again, this time with a note saying it was locked up due to lack of payment. So, I had to once again skirt the outside of the building to the front office and inquire.. only to yet again be given an "I dunno" response. I pushed a bit, asking if there were some disconnect in their systems, between booking, administration, and payments, and why this was happening... to which I got in response an, "I dunno." And now we hit the grand finale. Move-out day! Quite a happy day, in Vancouver, as it means having actually found an apartment. :) Booking and early check-in go off without a hitch, but I arrive to the normal 20 minute wait line-up this location always seems to have. I get up to the front, get my truck and now inquire about getting a refund for the unused time on the storage unit. Before I even finish the question the person behind the desk claims "We don't pro-rate on storage." Which was not the story I got when I was booking the cage. Skipping ahead again, bringing the truck back was interesting... no one was out at the receiving station when I arrived, and it wasn't until I started walking up to the office that someone started heading out to the station. When I made mention of the final charges being higher than the estimate, the agent said "Its only 3 dollars", basically judging me and stating I shouldn't be concerned with 3 dollars. Other things to note about this location: Parking is horrendous, if you are picking up a truck. Also they park uhaul storage containers and trucks in the loading-bay parking lots, making it more difficult for moving stuff in or out of storage. The parking lot itself is ridiculous as well, with single lane access, which means if an employee parks a truck in the lane (all the time), or customers decide to stop in the lane, you're stuck.

The best rental experience I've had in my life. Faye was so patient and took the time to explain everything. I come from across the city just to get my truck here. Faye for president.

While I was pretty worried with all the negative reviews about u haul in general and also this location, but everything was smooth and no issues at all. I did have to have them tweak the fuel level just slightly from the gauge and their read out. Pleasantly surprised!
