Trillium Health Partners Mississauga Hospital Emergency room

As I write my review, my wife is currently admitted because she currently has 5cm dilation. We went here around 10pm. After my wife told them she had some discharge with a little bit of blood, they gave her a room right away. Nurses and doctors that are on duty are really attentive. The place has a very friendly atmosphere. I do not know if we're just really lucky but I can't give this place less than 5 stars in my review. I would even give them 7 if I could. My only complaint is their private rooms are small but still tidy.

My partner went to the ER at 2 AM. The room was crowded with many patients, so we understood there would be a wait. However, the reception desk staff were very rude and seemed uninterested in helping. We dropped off our file at the ER, and they told us to go to Door 4 without giving clear directions. We had to wander around to find it while my partner was in pain, which was the reason we were at the ER in the first place.nnMany patients and family members were trying to rest in the waiting room, but the reception desk team was loudly chatting about going to a Taylor Swift show and laughing. This went on from 2 AM to 5 AM, and we could hear them the entire time. At one point, they even chat and made fun about a patient they have for calling 911 when it wasn’t an emergency.nnThis is the worst hospital I’ve ever been to. The only positive experience was with the doctor. He checked my partner and got the process done quickly, but the tests and CT scrab took several hours. The ER reception desk staff seriously need training because many of their conversations were very sensitive, and even though they thought they were being quiet, we could hear them talking about patients at the waiting room.nnThey couldn’t even provide him with tissues when my partner was clearly crying in pain, or an ice pack despite recommending it. When I asked, they said they didn’t have any. The hospital staff didn’t even know if the pharmacy was open. I had to rush to another building in the hospital to check, only to find it closed. I ended up going to a nearby Shoppers Drug Mart, thankfully they had the medication.

I've been here 5 times in the past 5 years and everytime I promise myself even if I'm on a dying bed, still I won't go any hospital as even if you are gonna survive by any chance they are kill you coz of the long hours wait on uncomfortably chairs.nMy wife is 14 weeks pregnant and she wasn't feeling well so had to bring her to the ER we arrive by 11:30 pm and the poor girl was having a lot of pain but all we did was to wait, we stayed in hospital till 5:30 am and were asked for an Ultrasound in the morning, We went home to had some rest and come back again. We couldn't sleep because they were supposed to call us which they did 10 am and were given 2:30pm for the appointment, it 5 pm now and we have wasted all this time in registrations on different counters. My wife is so frustrated and tired because of lack of sleep that she cried, and asking me again and again let's leave and never to return to this HELL again.nI would happily pay for the fee and see the doctor immediately rather than wasting two days for a pregnant woman to find what the issue is as we have no idea. I'm not sure why we are paying high taxes and pretend our health system is free? Canadian health system is a failure where in ER you have only one doctor but most of the time interns. The system is old school and they are shouting your names disturbing other patients. I am pretty sure this system has killed many patient we just don't know, we've lack of doctors and staff while people are flooding into these hospitals. I want to write more but disappointment has taken away all my energy as still waiting at this very moment and I'm sure we are not getting free in the next 3-4 hours just to collect my wife's report and talk to someone like what actually happened 24 hours ago

I recently had to visit Trillium Hospital, and I was thoroughly impressed with the level of care I received. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly helpful, respectful, and attentive to my needs. They made sure I was comfortable and informed throughout my time there, which really eased any anxiety I had. The medical team was professional and compassionate, making my experience a positive one despite the circumstances. I am truly grateful for the exceptional care provided by the entire staff. Highly recommend Trillium Hospital!

Not sure why there are many negative reviews!! We had such a positive experience visiting the ER and had an excellent care from the nurse, doctors and all the staffn. We got the emergency surgery on the same day and was discharged the next day!! We didn't wait at all and only positive experience... Thank you to doctors, nurses and hospital staffs!!
