TownePlace Suites by Marriott Rochester

Clean, Spacious, Comfortable, and Pleasant. For all the reasons you WANT to give a hotel a five star rating, I would - But I simply cannot. I say this, because the STAFF here, is simply too fantastic. Their stellar attentiveness and genuine warmth outshine anything else and everything good that I could say! If you're in Rochester for a term, or you just want a welcome in, I would absolutely steer you here first.

TownePlace is a very well kept, all suite hotel. The suites are spacious and fully stocked, feels like an average size apartment. The staff here has been amazingly accommodating, very gracious. Hotel amenities are awesome...two pools, hot tub, state of the art fitness center, complimentary high speed internet service, cable and other niceties...Oh...the breakfast is terrific! I would DEFINITELY recommend this hotel to my friends and family!

The pool gets a four star for being awesome! We all enjoyed the water slide and the hours are tell 11pm! The beds get a five star after a long day of driving they were perfect so comfortable! The overall score is only three stars because the hotel isn't well maintained and it's not as clean as it should be. In the pool area two of the vents in the ceiling were missing the vent on the wall was so covered in dust you couldn't see the vent slats. The toilet in our room was pretty nasty not a truck stop toilet but close. The shower head had built up soap scum which is gross. The front desk staff needs to work on professionalism. And they need to move that damn counter right in front of the entrance.

More than enough for our overnight stay when coming in town for the Mayo clinic. Rooms were an amazing price, but especially considering there was a full kitchen with full size fridge and a separate bedroom. Couch, though not the most modern looking, felt clean compared to furniture at many hotels. I'm a bit of a germaphobe and the fact that I felt okay sitting on it without putting personal linen down as a barrier is saying a lot! Bed was comfy, bathroom clean and large. Nice vanity area, lots of room for luggage and clothing, multiple closets. We did not part take in the pool area but it looked awesome with the slides, etc.

We were traveling for a loved one's health issues to Mayo Clinic. The trip was long and stressful as our connection was delayed... then we come in to the hotel and meet Anne. She has been one of the kindest and most wonderful people I've met. I needed to print some medical records, she brought paper and told me that I didn't need to pay for it even though I had to print a good number of pages. She made sure that I felt OK and I had everything I needed for our doctors appointments the following day. If you have kids they have a fantastic pool for them as well! Anne's friendlies and kindness though is something you cannot buy. I'm touched and thankful for the wonderful experience we had at this hotel for over a week! By the way, the rooms are spotless clean, the bed is comfortable and the price affordable!
