Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Rochester Mayo Clinic North

Staff was friendly. Hotel was recently remodeled. Those would be the only good things I could say. The entire property has a bad smell, especially the room. The room was sort of clean, nothing laying on the floor, but things like the fan vent in the bathroom was covered in a thick layer of dust, tops of the baseboards and all the corners were very dirty. You could tell the cleaning was not done very well. The worst part of the room was the bed, EXTREMELY soft/uncomfortable, you could tell it was very old and just worn out. Breakfast was pretty limited, a few doughnuts and the standard hotel waffles. There are two hotels directly across the street that are nicer for only a few dollars more, next time I will spend the extra $20. It's not the worst place I've stayed, but I won't go back.

If you've never stayed at a Microtel before, be aware the one bed rooms are TINY. We were unprepared for how "micro" it would be, and the pack n play we brought barely wedged between the bed and wall. The room was clean, however, and contained a fridge, microwave, closet, window seat/bench, desk, iron and night stands so we had no complaints. Breakfast was adequate, although limited protein (only hot options were do-it-yourself waffles and instant oatmeal).

Great place to spend a night or two. Room was clean and AC worked great. Nice Continental breakfast with waffles. Small rooms, but not bad if you just need a place to lay your head. WiFi was a little iffy, but for the price we can't complain.

Pretty average hotel overall. Queen room was very small. Clean and decently well kept up. I wouldn't really consider staying here unless it was the cheapest option.

Room was updated recently, usb charging ports on both sides of the bed. Room was kinda small but I found it good enough. Quiet. Bed was a little soft for my taste.
