Hey, food lovers! If you're looking for a brunch spot that offers unique dishes and bold, mouthwatering flavors, this is the place to be. I highly recommend starting with the teasers– they’re the perfect way to kick off your meal. My personal favorites were the blueberry on the spoon and the pork belly. The blueberry is an explosion of flavor in just one bite! I also tried the new mushroom teaser, which had great flavor but was a little too salty for my taste, so I probably wouldn't order it again.nnFor drinks, be sure to try the flights – they feature a variety of drinks with different flavors. The Kiss of Dragon was a standout for me, but the flight is a great way to sample a little bit of everything.nnFor my main course, I had the chicken and waffles and the salmon eggs Benedict, both of which were absolutely amazing. The chicken and waffles here are fantastic, and some of my favorite around! To top it all off, I indulged in the Ode to Chocolate Dome dessert. The rich chocolate and gooey marshmallow were delicious, and the yogurt-like side flavor added an interesting twist – it was good, especially when mixed in with everything.nnI’m definitely planning to come back and film some videos for my upcoming food-tasting channel, so stay tuned – I’ll be featuring their dishes soon!
I LOVE THIS PLACE! I’m SO glad we came here for our anniversary after experiencing a terrible experience in Mpls at Aster Cafe an hour before where we left after only having an appetizer .nnFrom the moment we walked in and were immediately greeted with a friendly, welcoming smile, we knew our night out was saved. Literally everyone we encountered was WONDERFUL. Our waitress was top-notch and had great suggestions. Atmosphere is so fun. Food is DELICIOUS and unique without feeling pretentious. TIC unknowingly was able to turn our anniversary celebration into something more special than we expected. Thank you for a lovely evening! Keep up the good work!nWe will definitely be back!
We’ve been coming here for years and it’s the absolute best! As someone with food allergies, they consistently provide divine options, great atmosphere & the staff are fabulous. Fav brunch item is “Heeere’s Johnny” and for dinner the Ramen is unmatched. They have great cocktails and fabulous NA options. The ode to dome is the best dessert and a must try! I happily eat here any chance I get.
We ordered the date night special, which includes 2 drinks, 2 teasers, and 4 share plates and dessert. The drinks are great and unique, which is fun. We had the fried pork belly for our teasers, and it was delicious. Our 4 plates were the pad thai salad, which was good, the ahi tuna tostata, which i didn't like very much, the steamed pork buns which were excellent and the fried chicken buns were good. Dessert was also very good. Service was great. Reservations recommended as seating isn't a big area. Restaurant can be loud when busy. Parking is street parking.
Yooo, Tongue in Cheek might be the most solid and consistent high level dining experience in St Paul. They’re doing exactly what they’ve been doing for 10 straight years, and somehow haven’t lost even a fraction of a step. Their food is incredible, the bar program is easily top-3 in Minnesota, and their service is excellent. We snuck in for a quick brunch and were highly impressed by the bloody and the espresso martini. The market omelette was rich, creamy and expertly cooked, and the market fish was complex and delicious. And of course, a couple of teasers to start was a great reminder of the unique place this restaurant occupies in the Twin Cities. Always worth the trip to the east side. Can’t wait to bring my out of town family this fall
