Tokyo Cheesecake Cafe

We ordered a last minute dessert for our Canada day party and we looked around for a place open and near our location. Tried the strawberry roll cake that was $17 and 2 packs of meringue with flavours. The roll cake was very bland, the strawberry filling was very thin you can barely taste the strawberry icing in it. You can see how the ratio of sponge cake to icing is so unbalanced. The meringue didn’t taste like bubble gum or cotton candy, it tasted like regular meringue that easily melts in your mouth. We spent $30 for 3 items, very overpriced for the quantity and quality of the desserts. 2 stars just because I still liked the meringue. That’s about it tho.

Overall, I’ll have to say that Tokyo Cheesecake has really good ready-made Korean cakes I especially like their sweet potato sponge cake, green tea cheesecake, and strawberry cheesecake. Therefore, I had high hopes when ordering a custom cake for a bridal shower. The pros: the cake definitely fed a lot of people as requested, and was fresh. The cons: it didn’t necessarily match up to the design I had provided, it was supposed to be a strawberry cake but it tasted more like a regular vanilla sponge cake — a little underwhelming in taste compared to their regular selection of cakes. I’m not sure if it was due to the language barrier, but the custom experience didn’t match up to my expectations, especially given the price I paid. All this to say, go and try their regular cakes and baked goods as they’ve nailed those!

I couldn’t find THIS GOOD QUALITY BEAUTIFUL CAKE IN NORTH AMERICA FOR A LONG TIME! But now I found it! My friends ordered this cake for my husband to celebrate his 50th bday! I highly recommend this place as Japanese too. Seriously, it’s a perfect one! I will never ever go back to eat the North American “just too sweet” cake. Thank you! We’ll see you soon!

My husband got me a strawberry shortcake for birthday cake and a cheesecake as extra dessert , both very delicious! Best cake in Mississauga, Burlington, Hamilton!

Lovely atmosphere and a wide variety of baked goods and desserts! I had their tiramisu latte and strawberry bingsu - both were amazing! I will definitely be coming back!

Tokyo Cheesecake Cafe made my wedding cake and it was absolutely divine! The sponge was so light and fluffy and the buttercream was delicate and delicious. The baker has a really good eye for design and made it so beautifully. It was an absolute joy to eat the cake and all of our guests said the same. I have a few pieces saved for our 1 year anniversary and I can't wait!

5 stars for yummiest cheese cake This is the second year in a row and I’m ordering their Original cheese cake for my husband’s birthday.

I recently discovered this cafe and my family and I have come back every week to try a different cake. We really love it! We are not fond of overly sweet and heavy cakes and these cakes are just right! They are very light and not sweet at all. Every cake / dessert we’ve tried here has been great! I love them all but my favourite is probably the black sesame.

Ordered a strawberry short cake. The taste was amazing and very similar to those in Tokyo, Japan. It was not too sweet and light. In fact, the chef was graduated from Confectionery school in Tokyo. Bought another matcha double layer cheesecake for our anniversary . The message on the cake was free. Most importantly, my wife and I enjoyed it so much. Will come back very soon.
