The Title Wave Used Bookstore sells retired Multnomah County Library materials at discounted prices. The store is run almost entirely by volunteers who sort, price and stock materials from the library's 19 locations.
The Title Wave is housed in a Spanish Renaissance building which housed the Albina Library for many years. The building opened October 18, 1912 and was built with money from the community that was matched by Andrew Carnegie. The Title Wave opened March 14, 1988 and is staffed by almost entirely by volunteers. A crew of 65, including 7 who have been here since the store opened, keeps the store running smoothly 6 days a week. You can find books of all ages for all ages at affordable prices. All proceeds are returned to the library.
