Thornlea Medical Walk-In Clinic

Dr. Lambert is my doctor. I have been seeing him in the past. I have a severe back pain and decided to see Dr. Lombard today again, because he has my history and he is a great doctor. I called the clinic spoke to the receptionist and arrived before 11:30am as I was told over the phone by the receptionist. The receptionist who is sitting their is extremely rude. At first she told me to come after 2 hours. I left after she signed me up. Its a extremely hot day today. Its 34C outside. I came back after Hour and a half and ask how many patients are ahead of me now. she said to me that it will take an hour and a half more. My husband and i were together. We explained her the situation that it too hot outside. And we have a baby too and he is vomiting. Tell us the exact time. She replied very rudely that come back after hour and a half but she is not sure if I can still be seen. The pharmacist stepped in and said Dr. Lombard is responsible for it. They are playing a big time blame game. However, with their unprofessional attitude what I realized that on purpose the receptionist is squeezing patients of her own choice and giving others hard time. In the end she says feel free to write a complaint. My humble request to Dr. Lambert is to at least check what is going on in your clinic. Your staff is making you responsible for everything. They are messing up with the operation of the clinic and blaming you in the end. Your staff is ruining the health care system we have in Canada. And they should be held responsible. Because if the front desk receptionist is not sure what time the patient will be seen . Who is responsible then? You are the best doctor. We really appreciate your services. Thanks

This place and their secretary who works full-time is terrible. They don't make patients comfortable. Their policies are hurting patients. They should change the staff, they are not friendly and if she can't work on busy fast-paced environment then she should be fired Sometimes she humiliate patients because she knows they are new immigrants. In the community over 100s of patients complain about her behavior So I request to management or owner please not to make difficult for the patients . You are making money from us. U should provide comfortable, respectful patient experience. Dr's are nice. There should be contact information for the policy makers.

I am Dr Tariq' patient since 2015 and she has a very pleasant disposition. She is a very nice person. As a doctor, she is very efficient and the best thing about her is that she listens to your problems. And tries to help as much as possible. She is one of the best doctors at the clinic. I am very happy with her and wish her luck in her career. God bless

The walk in clinic is great for resolving urgent issues. I’ve been using it prior to having OHIP coverage and after. If you are uninsured, there is a fee of $80 but it’s reasonable compared to going to a&e without OHIP. On two occasions I was very sick and my family doctor did not prescribe anything or give me an appointment, but I was treated at the walk in. You have to go early as all the slots are taken soon after the walk in opens.

This is the most poorly run walk in clinic I have ever had to deal with. The front staff is horrible to deal with and are very arrogant, rude and seem clueless at their job. The secretary last week told me to come for 130PM and was told a doctor will be able to see me. When I came for approx 130PM, they told me that they were filled up and I couldn't be seen. After addressing the so called secretary that she told me to come for 130PM, she got very snippy and rude with me. I was also previously seen by a Dr. Stein and he is a joke. He speaks very disrepectfully and is rude. All these people should be fired. The doctor should quit his day job bc he doesnt DESERVE to have that tittle to practice. A word of advice to everyone, do yourself and your livielyhood a favor and go elsewhere. DO NOT TRUST these people! Shame on all of them!

Dr Tariq is so unprofessional, unethical, rude and has got no manners. she shouted at me just because I was telling my problem and asking her about it. I feel so sorry for her being such a rude physician. when she does not know anything, she should accept it, not shout at patients. I feel sorry for her patients that are dealing with her.

Receptionist doesnt know anything and says things that are not correct to get the patient off the clinic... Doctor is very untrained and unprofessional and discriminatory... Doctor Tariq gave January 18th as the date for me to come pick my reports up because im changing doctors because she has been an unkind and completely unknowledgable doctor. But when i got there the clinic, the staff couldnt find my chart, keeps saying “ i dont know”, doesnt even attempt to help me, and says to come back later. I asked when, she doesnt know and she is just brushing me off despite the clinic giving me a date. Absolutely unprofessional and im ashamed that my taxes goes to pay for these services are gone to such undeserving people.

NEVER GO HERE. the receptionist is EXTREMELY rude and constantly belittles the clients. You are working in CUSTOMER SERVICE. The receptionist I am referring to was working on November 4th 2022 at 9 am. There are so many other receptionists out there that would do way better she should be fired. If all the reviews include how the receptionist is rude it really is time to find a new one.

If I could give it a worse rating I would, customer service doesn't exist and do does their capacity to take in patients, they don't pick up the phone and then when they do they rudely hang up with out answering the question. So sad what this clinic has become.

I've been there a few times now, twice for walk in and decided to have Dr. Tariq as my family doctor. I did not have any unpleasant vibes from them. They are all very nice to me and answered all my questions regarding my health. The receptionists had about 10-15 people to deal with at a time so they were under pressure. As long as you treat them with respect and follow what the signs say, then they will treat you well. I do wish there was more sitting area, though.
