Theo’s Eatery

We went last night for a birthday. The atmosphere was 10/10. Our server Erin was 10/10. We really wanted to love it here. We had Veal Parm and lasagna. Same sauce on both. Lasagna was almost inedible. Loaded with cheese on top but the noodles were cut into 1 cm strips and were gooey. The sauce was brown and not good. I think there was pepperoni in it. Because the staff and atmosphere were so good we might try again, but not order pasta. Sorry. Just being honest.

Absolutely one of our very favourite restaurants anywhere! We've been semi-regulars at Theo's for around fifteen years now, and every single visit has been consistently excellent. The food is prepared in-house - which definitely makes a huge difference - and everything we've had here has been unbelievably good. The chicken souvlaki, the veal cutlet, the steak sandwich, any of the baked pasta dishes, the Greek salad, the coconut curry shrimp...the list of fantastic dishes goes on. It's obvious from the appearance & taste of the meals that the people in the kitchen really care and they clearly enjoy what they're doing - a real plus! Service is always prompt & friendly...and the food always arrives HOT, not just warm. Note that reservations, especially for dinner, are strongly advised - it's worth a quick phone call to ensure that you get a table.nnNow that so many places have gone the corporate route, with predictable chain restaurants littering the landscape with their mediocre factory food, trucked in and assembled/re-heated but not actually prepared on site, a place like Theo's becomes even more likeable. This restaurant is a Genuine Treasure, and always worth the drive to Orillia...from wherever you are. My highest possible recommendation.

Tonight was our first time here. We were in town visiting on a road trip. Wow, was a great experience. I had the coconut curry with pineapple and shrimp. Great portion and so good! For what you get I thought their prices were reasonable. I would definitely like to come back.

I live one hour south of Theo’s but whenever I’m in the area I stop in for a meal.nWe enjoy the pasta dishes and salads.nThe service is always good, the prices are reasonable, it is a pleasant place to dine, and there is lots of parking.nMake a reservation on the weekends or if there is a concert at the casino in Ramara.

Had dinner on a Friday evening. Staff were amazing! Restaurant was full - sign of good food and service - so on the louder side. The food was excellent - bruschetta, chicken parm, lasagna and apple crumble with ice cream. Highly recommend. Will go back.
