Small place but very welcoming. And such lovely service. Even went out of there way to make noodles for my little one to try.Can't wait to come back. And the food is fantastic I had the beef noodle dish highly recommend.Food: 5/5

We trusted the reviews for this place and were excited to try this place. Firstly, the price specified is wrong and most items are actually $2 to 5 more than what been mentioned on here. The lady was very friendly and we loved the service. We had the beef pho soup and before I was able to finish it, I had to run to the bathroom! My guts were messed up from eating that soup and the next day my bf was on the toilet too. This soup gave us a terrible food poisoning ! I wouldn't be returning and I wouldn't recommend going there either. Great service but the food, not so much.

Had a lunch with a few friends who visiting me from Toronto at Chef Simon’s Kitchen, everyone was so impressed with the authentic Vietnamese food in our small town, Orillia. Bhai Mi Sandwich Vietnamese spring and noodle soup were so tasty, they said they are better than they had in Toronto. Yah, so happy to hear that!Recommended dishesBeef Noodle Soup, Bhai MI Sandwich

I've come here a number of times and have always had delicious meals. Most recently had the Vietnamese sandwich combo lemongrass Porkbelly--it's spicy. If you haven't tried it before, just think thick-cut bacon pieces. The combo also comes with a pop. Simon is still the one behind preparing the food. I got a picture of him frying the porkbelly in the skillet. The food has always been great here and I will continue coming back

Ordered some take-out from here. Had red curry chicken and peanut sauce chicken. They were both too spicy for me and not very flavorful. They should also pack soup items in a container that is less likely to spill when ordering out.

Never ordering from here again. Customer service is very poor, zero if I could give them that rating. I ordered food from here for the first time through skip for my break. I work in a hospital. The address was explained in the description also. They did not deliver the food. I called the restaurant to ask for help. They are not willing to help and adviced me to take it up with the skip the dishes, they gave me the number to call. Despite me explaining my situation. Skip doesn’t receive any calls anymore so I called the restaurant back. The simons kitchen restaurant is now ignoring my calls; despite me being polite and professional with them in attempt to address the issue. You can refer to their response to this message as an example. They seem to be indifferent that their customer has paid for their order that they did not even receive. First time experiencing such encounter from a restaurant. I am rather disappointed for the way I was treated as a customer. “Thai plate” in Orillia is a much more professional with great service/food; I have not experienced any problems with them. If you are looking for thai plate in Orillia.

Disappointed in the pad thai- I prefer more noodles instead of mostly sprouts/veg.. it was quite mushy too. It was okay but I won't be back. Much cheaper/better pad thai at Thai Bamboo in Barrie. Worth the drive. Sorry!Food: 2/5

We decided to eat here, because other reviews were so generous. We ordered over the phone at 5:45 PM and our order was only available after 7. My wife came inside TWICE and waited excessively, as she was told to wait just a little longer. When we finally received our food, we realized it was not cooked professionally. This is the most plain Pho we have ever had, my Vienamese wife was very upset to find the broth to be flavorless. Please see the attached photos. We had Pad Thai, Pho, Tom Yum small soup and what appears to be a soggy-unfresh mango salad. At least it was edible. Still, no smile or apology for the wait. Thank you, Chef Cimon's Kitchen, for feeding us.

Food is consistently good in quality and quantity. Staff are kind and restaurant is clean. Highly suggest the Tom Yum soup, or the Pad Thai.

Located on the Memorial Drive strip with lots of other restaurants try this cute little place for an authentic Viet/Thai fusion experience. The Jasmine Tea was a nice way to Start things off and we shared an order of Thai Spring Rolls and an order of Cold Rolls. The Tofu Pad Thai was delicious and the 2 meat combo is what my friend order with the steamed rice and General Tao Chicken which is what I will order next time in. Good food relaxing atmosphere and good service. The prices were very reasonable for the large portions they serve. Check it out!
