Story

We have transformed one of Kitchener’s most architecturally-iconic buildings into its most vibrant self; an intimate downtown boutique hotel abuzz with fresh, contemporary energy and style.

This was our greatest transformation in over 100 years and while we preserved the soul and charm of our historic structure, we are breathing new life and flair into every corner. These significant improvements, coupled with an energetically devoted staff, promise to deliver a hospitality experience - individualized and unique - sure to please the most savvy and well-traveled guest.

We spent the night at the Walper and it was fantastic! We will definitely be back! We booked last minute on a busy Saturday, when every other hotel was completely booked or trying to price gouge you, but not the Walper, they had great rates for an awesome experience! The front desk helped us with parking and service was great, rooms were clean and looked very nice, breakfast at the Social was great as well. Good job Walper!
I've had the pleasure of staying at the Walper Hotel in Kitchener on four occasions, and each visit has been a delightful experience. The hotel’s clean, comfortable rooms provide a peaceful retreat.nnWhile it may not boast a pool or other extravagant amenities, the exceptional staff truly sets the Walper apart. Their flexibility and willingness to accommodate guests' needs, such as extending check-out and parking, have made my stays even more enjoyable. I highly recommend the Walper Hotel for anyone visiting Kitchener.
A gorgeous location to have a dream stay.nThe staff is ready to pamper; the rooms are quiet and beautifully designed; the food is a must-try, especially the burgers nAt Creative Spades I always try to find great locations and The Walper hit all marks. And the touch of perfectly decorated Christmas accents made me feel great and in the mood to relax.nnThanks to all the Walper team for the wonderful stay.
We recently stayed at The Walper Hotel for two nights and, unfortunately, didn’t get much sleep. The beds were quite uncomfortable, and the pillows were far too soft for our liking.nnOn the positive side, the hotel staff were very accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. Parking was available for $18, which was reasonable, and the rooms were spacious enough for a comfortable stay. The location is excellent, right in the heart of downtown Kitchener, making it easy to walk to nearby restaurants and attractions.nnHowever, the nightlife around the area was a bit questionable, which detracted from the overall experience.nnWhile the staff and location were great, the lack of comfort made it difficult to fully enjoy our stay.
Recently was at a function at the Walper terrace hotel and was 100% impressed by everything. The staff were unbelievable. 100% customer service oriented to the fact where you did not have to ask for anything and they anticipated what you required. Beautiful ballroom, delicious dinner. Need to make a plan to visit and stay overnight.
