Super 8 Cambridge/Kitchener/Waterloo Area

We loved our stay here this weekend. The staff were helpful. But when we came the room staff needed to be more thorough. We had to ask numerous times for extra blankets and towels until we finally went to the front desk to ask and finally got them. But all in all, we enjoyed our time here. Also the breakfast included with the room was very good. Thank you so much

First room had cigarette burn on comforter. Dirty drawers, one had a huge bug in it. Room was scary. They had no problems giving us a new room. This room was nice and big. But most of all clean. Breakfast was ok was kind of afraid of waffle mix didn't look good. Staff did not seem happy to be there.

Out of the cold is the only thing I can say besides the staff was friendly. For a non smoking establishment, the upper south hallwat smelled very strongly of smoke. The room was pretty spacious but was nothing to write home about, at all. Broken door lock on the main room door and a chain lock on the second door. Leaving a lack of security in the back of our minds. The couch was torn and very worn out to the point it really should be curbside. With limited heat in the shower water, we tried to make it quick and while in there and getting close to the shower head, the drain area of the tub litterally dropped like it was going to fall through the floor. Clearly it wasn't falling but it sure felt like it the way it sagged when stepped on. The hall beneath us was so cold that the cleaning ladies were literally wearing parkas while they worked. Really unacceptable work conditions as far as I'm concerned. Around that corner was a heavy scent of pot coming from one of the rooms. A potpourri of stinks. The icing on the cake and the final straw leading us to be in and out in about 5 hours, without our continental breakfast was the windows. I pulled the curtain to look at our vehicle when we heard some noise outside and the windows had, what we will call spit runs all down the glass. My opinion is that it was much more disgusting than spit, but you be the judge. pictures attached. I recommend you stay at any of the other 9 hotels in the area, or your car.

Bottom of the barrel establishment from front desk to cleaning staff ! While at work my do not disturb sign was disregarded and numerous items were stolen from my room a quick conversation with the gentleman next to me confirmed I was not the only one ! I am also a medical marijuana user with a legal prescription , when I approached the front desk about my missing item obviously including but not limited to my prescription her response was " who will believe a f*****g druggie anyway, in front of other guests ! Needless to say I was mortified not to mention embarrassed beyond belief! I cancelled the remainder of my stay and moved elsewhere only to discover the next day I had be charged an additional 200 their claim was the room had be damaged a second personi spoke claimed it had been smoked in neither of which was case!! My recommendation is stay away !! Stay far away this place is a nightmare.

Too loud washroom. I didn't eat breakfast, but friends weren't very satisfied with that
