Our son's U11 Team stayed here for two nights while playing in a local tournament. All families were in agreement that we were all very happy with the stay. Check in staff were very friendly and even knew when we played and who we were playing...wishing us luck.nOur group was mostly all on the same floor with a conference room at the end of the hall. This was SUPER convenient! Kids played respectively in the halls and we were never given any grief for this.nPool was a hit with all the kids and very clean.nWe will not hesitate to book here again as a group.
While the rooms are modern and look nice, the walls are paper thin. You can hear every noise from neighbouring rooms and the hallways. There are sliding doors in the room which lets through a draft and the noise from the street. Heavy truck traffic uses the downtown streets beginning before 5am. Last night, a homeless man on the street began screaming and shouting at 3am, this continued until well after 5am. While I understand this is not in the hotel’s control, if there was proper windows/doors and if the building was sufficiently noise-proofed, it would not have been so disruptive!nnOn my first night, I experienced below-par service. I ordered a meal from a nearby restaurant because the hotel restaurant had not opened yet. When I got back to my room with the food, I realized they had missed giving me cutlery. I made a quick visit downstairs where the restaurant had now opened to ask for a disposable fork or to borrow a set of silverware and was told by the manager, in a smug and rude way, that they wouldn’t provide me with that because I didn’t eat at the hotel restaurant. I have never experienced rudeness of that type in a hotel, especially while attending for a business conference. This is obviously. Regular occurrence at this hotel, because, when I visited the front desk, I was given a wooden fork.nnOverall, it’s a nice space, beds are nice, but unless you bring earplugs, good luck sleeping! Customer service mentality starts from the top down, and the manager is clearly not prioritizing guest experience!
A typical downtown Kitchener chained-style hotel. Long and twisted hallway to get to the room. Feel like a group of hamsters finding their way home. Rooms are dim, and the bathroom is not too spacious.nnIt was nice to have a party room available for big groups, like hockey teams, to socialize during the stay. Also, all rooms for the families of the group are assigned to the same floor with no one else. I find this very convenient. Perhaps it's not a busy season, and they can accommodate this. Nice treatment.nnAs a bonus, swimming pool and arcade games are also available to entertain kids while you want to take a quick break. It's not a bad idea at all.nnOverall, it's a good downtown place to stay with a reasonable price.
I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for the first time, and I absolutely loved it! The room was not only neat but also beautifully designed, making for a very comfortable stay. I was especially impressed by the staff, who were incredibly sweet and welcoming. Heera and Himanshu went above and beyond to make our stay special—on my husband's birthday, they surprised us with a pastry and a lovely birthday card in our room’s fridge. It was such a thoughtful touch that made the experience even more memorable. My husband was absolutely thrilled with the hospitality! I highly recommend this hotel—it’s a fantastic place to stay!
My daughter was locked in an elevator for over an hour and a half. The emergency button goes only to the front desk who ignored their pleas for over 20 minutes. After the fire department successfully got them out, staff was dismissive and rude to the 4 young adults. No apologies were given, they didn’t even take my daughter’s information for an incident report. I spoke to the manager who assured me he would email me with a follow up to the complaint. He has not. I imagine it’s better to ignore the situation, and avoid follow up - until a more serious incident takes place. Make sure you have your cell phones while on the elevator, who knows how long you will be there.
