The Homewood Suites offer spacious well-appointed rooms for a pretty good price. The hotel in St. Jacobs is in a fabulous location. It is right across from Jack's Restaurant and is beside the outlet mall. The market is a very short walk away and the Playhouse Theater is right across the road. Breakfast was the norm with eggs, sausage, a variety of breads and spreads and coffee and juice. My disappointment with the hotel came from how tired the room was. The common areas were updated and lovely but the room needed work. The wallpaper in the bathroom was held on with tape and the bed was sagging and a little uncomfortable to sleep in. The pillows were as flat as pancakes and useless unless you used all four from the king bed. My biggest issue came from the door to the room. It was not appropriate at all. It did not block any noise from the hallway. People weren't doing anything to make noise. They were just walking by or shutting their own door to their room but the noise was unbelievable in my room. Both mornings I stayed in this hotel I got woken up at 5:30 with someone in the hallway walking by or shutting their door. That's not normal for a hotel of this caliber. Very disappointing!
The staff was lovely, always willing to help out or answer any questions.nnThe room was large for my family, We loved the suite with the ability to close the door, and it allowed for some separation when kids needed it.nnPool was lovely.nnBreakfast was great. Well balanced, on weekends they used wooden utensils, I would have preferred the stainless steel they used on the weekdays, but that is my preference.
We really enjoyed our stay at Homewood Suites Waterloo. The room was clean, spacious and well ventilated. The gym facility is great and the complimentary breakfast was a nice plus. We would definitely stay here again.
I booked and managed a social group with Michelle. The experience was excellent. She was professional, responsive and flexible at each step of the process. And provided me frequent booking updates to help me manage the event.nnThe link for my guests to book their rooms made it easy for everyone.nnMy guests, including my wife and I had a great experience at the hotel. Great value, amenities, clean and modern. And of course good service.nnThe onsite breakfast and convenience corner worked for our group’s needs.nnI would personally recommend the hotel for those attending local events, campus activities and social & corporate travel
Very good. Pretty clean and neat rooms. Internet onsite. 25$ incidental fee upon booking. Plenty of parking around and behind the hotel. There are chargers for EVs for those who use those. There is a Walmart and some other stores and restaurants present within 3-5 minutes away from the location. I wish they'd change the body soap to something less oily than there is currently. That's perhaps the worst thing I dislike. Somehow the Visa card didn't work for me in this hotel, Mastercard worked. Be aware of that situation potentially.
