I went to The Townsend for a wedding shower and it was beautiful. The shower was held in the tea room and was a small, intimate event. There was delicious food that was traditional of an afternoon tea. Tiny sandwiches, mini desserts and a large scone (cranberry) with lemon curd and clotted cream. All of it was artfully prepared and presented. There were 3 little girls in attendance, my 3 yo included. They treated them all with respect and even brought a kid friendly meal for each of them of chicken tenders and fries. It was very special event and the service was excellent. They were very kind and accommodating. I was so impressed that I plan to make a reservation for afternoon tea again with a family member.

We had our wedding here on NYE and it was absolutely magical!!! The atmosphere was euphoric and the decor was breathtaking.
The staff were amazing- everyone went out of their way to make us, and our guests, feel right at home. The food and desserts were INCREDIBLE and the service was top notch! Our chef was awesome and so much fun to work with!! We truly enjoyed eating his food!! 
We were so grateful and thankful to be able to work with Joanie- she helped us with all of the planning and made sure everything was perfect and exactly how we wanted it- right down to our adorable soup starters!! An absolutely wonderful experience!!

I don’t even know were to start. To the friendly staff, beautiful decor and phenomenal food my stay here was amazing. I was in town for a wedding and decided to not stay at the hotels the bridal party had listed on their invite for peace of mind reasons. This hotel gave me just that! Peace and very accommodating! Definitely in my top 3 of favorite hotels. I’m really picky and can alway find a recommendation to make service better. I have none!!!

The service and attention to detail are first class here.  We enjoyed attending an annual event that is hosted here; every year it's a little bit different but always the same amazing experience/service.

My sisters and I hosted a retirement celebration for our mother this weekend and we decided on an afternoon tea party. It was absolutely perfect. The setting was lovely and at first we didn’t know if it would be enough food but it just kept coming and was exquisite.  Everyone enjoyed themselves. I brought my two young daughters and the staff - especially Debra and Tracy - went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and my girls left thinking they were legitimate princesses. Planning the event with Laura Klein was easy - she took care of every last detail with authority and class. Abdul and everyone else involved in the event ensured we experienced true world class service. We highly recommend this hotel for your next event.
