On November 7, 2017, I walked into "The Source" located in Place Montreal Trust building in downtown Montreal. I am from the countryside and I don't go to downtown areas very often because I am not much of a shopping or technology fanatic. I was just walking around and looking for a luggage store, and asked a Virgin telecom cell phone booth if there was a store downtown like Best-Buy or Future Shop or something in the electronics other than "The Source" store that was in sight. You will understand why very shortly; please keep reading. I asked this question to the cell phone salesman because 10 minutes prior, I had the most horrendous and vile experience one can have walking into any store, and it was at the "The Source" electronic store in the Eaton Center. I don't know what miracle the manager of "The Source" in the Place Montreal Trust location is doing through his management philosophy, as opposed to the Eaton Center location, but ALL, and I mean ALL, the staff/employees of the "The Source" location inside the Place Montreal Trust building, were very kind, collaborative, insightful and happy/smiling. The factual evidence is the following: 1. you ask for paper and pen to take notes, you get it within seconds and very fast 2. you ask for product demonstration and troubleshooting and the staff take all the time necessary to explain as much as they know and understand of the products they are selling 3. you ask to speak to manager as soon as you walk in the store or after your shopping experience, and the staff bring you to see the manager immediately, without any hesitation or hindrance, in complete confidence that they are doing the best job they can do and that they are very welcoming of honest, thorough, factual and relevant feedback for continuous improvement. 4. the diversity of products available is quite high in respect of the small size of the store 5. I have no affiliation or prior knowledge of this store, nor the manager nor any of its employees. My assessment is completely factual, truthful, pertinent and objective/non-biased in any fashion whatsoever. I have based my assessment upon comparative analysis and assessment of the "The Source" location in the Eaton Center that I walked through and walked right out of because of its vile and unhelpful staff, with a sickening and garbage atmosphere, where the staff/employees are either: 1. untrained and lack of skills/knowledge in electronics OR 2. don't care about their job or are ungrateful that they even have gainful employment OR 3. they should all be FIRED IMMEDIATELY and replaced with staff from the Place Montreal Trust location OR 4. the manager of the Eaton Center location is incompetent and unsupportive of his employees in their training and education towards excellent customer service delivery. In conclusion, I hope this review provides insight into the customer experience at this one specific location of one specific kind of store. I even gave them my empty soda can for the immediate and effective salary increase of the minimum denomination of currency in the Canadian economy, namely a Nickel (5cents) I hope that it provides clarity and guidance that meet your highest expectations in terms of customer experience and service excellence. Have a good and blessed day!

Worked there. Staff is great. Manager can seem rough sometimes but that's because he care so much, ask him anytime why his store instead of best buy he'll be glad to tell you.

One star rating should say it all.
I went in there looking for a pair of headphones, the second I broke out my smartphone to help the guy find the pair I was looking for he tried to hock me a new cell carrier and phone, which to me crossed lines.
You want my business, address the needs I bring to you, not the needs I don't need. As far as I am concerned they are pushy and incompetent, I hope this location closes for good soon!
