Fun spot! The nautical theme is perfectly executed, and the quirky photo booths and vending machines add to the party atmosphere. The cocktail list is something worth exploring, and the beers on tap are mostly local and top notch. The bar tender was very friendly and made a great drink for us!
Alot of fun to go and visit. Feels like if the book I spy became a bar. Cool decor great chill vibes. They have dance offs on Thursday which are also fun to watch!
Meh. I have been here a couple of times and service and food/drinks have deteriorated. You have to go inside to order your drinks if you are outside, but the waiter/waitress grabs them and carries them Seattle laws; you can’t have alcohol out of designated areas for you while you walk near them. Wait what? Wouldn’t it be easier to order through the app and they bring it to you anyways? But that is not why I’m giving them 3 stars, the rating is mostly about food. I ordered the pacific sandwich with gluten free bread and it was awful! They didn’t toast the bread and there was little to no flavor. I didn’t say anything because one knows what happens when you send food back…
Pseudo-slummy broken in neighborhood bar, loyal looking clientele and thoughtful lighting. Ropes, bouys, life jackets and caged dolls above the bar are highlights. Baudelaire is quoted on the menu, to the delight of many a hipster I'm sure. Competent and swift service on a Saturday night. Organized bar, good sight lines, clean Betty Page-infested bathrooms, not that we're complaining. Could do without the few TVs playing sports and thoroughly modern "top 40" music, but these are both easily ignored after some affordable Vida mezcal. Happy hour prices are legit and the $3 coffee is low acidity - always a plus. Cocktails are unsurprising but dialed in. Have not tried the food but seems reasonable. Highly recommended and I'll return. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Big, cute interior with lots of character and friendly employees. There are many different types of seating zones for whatever you need - tables, booths, a large table surrounded by benches for a small group, a raised nook for a medium group, a few back areas to get away, a bar, and a stage area with seating. Free pool table was nice. As was the shot of whiskey and a Rainier deal - haven't seen something like that in a while. Food was also nice. And while it was a little annoying to have to use their QR code to order it, it was paid for then and there and sent directly to where you're seated based off the code you used. Very convenient, that part. Lots of nearby parking on adjacent streets and a taco place across the street if you really want something else. Recommended for sure.
This is one of my favorite bars. The cocktails are awesome, the staff are super nice, there’s gluten free bread! And the ambiance can’t be beat. Love the hokey sea decorations.
Came in late but had a great experience... So much we wanted to take Schuyler back to Portland with us! I will definitely be coming back to the Octopus. Great ambiance, Great drinks and thanks to all who helped keep the bar alive during the plandemic! Awesome plaque idea
Went for meeting colleagues. This place was dope. We chose outdoor dining, they have great tables indoor too. Very wonderful staff, an inclusive community, very welcoming. Staff are friendly and welcoming, they make efforts to follow regulations and deliver quality service.Drinks were great..this green drink is a bomb, it had this fish shaped candy.. yummy!!
Enjoyed 2 different cocktails. Both were very good. Nice beer selection. Shared a sandwich which was delicious and filling. The decor was fun to peruse.
Been here twice with a friend, the facts that so many people bring their beautiful dogs is enough for me to visit all the time! I had a husky just decide he was gonna guard me while I had my cocktail and I’m here for it!
