Phenomenal food and service to match. We tasted ravioli, duck, scallops, two desserts, coffee, wine, and more. Would highly recommend you go!!
The two of us shared the steak dinner for two take out July 10, 2021, and it was perfect. The beef tenderloin with maitake mushrooms was sublime! The beef was so tender and juicy even after being heated in the microwave for 30 sec, the mushrooms had such a subtle smoked flavor, and the sauce enhanced everything. We were so glad to have gotten the set that included the burrata and the baby beet salad - both were so good and accompanied the steak well. The baguette was superb as well. Portion size was on point. Will definitely return to try other things! Pickup process was smooth, clear, and safe. Bravo bravo bravo!
Fantastic experience. We dined early so it was relatively quiet. Ambiance is fantastic, and our server was calm, informative, and delightful. Had the bread, green bean appetizer, and polenta fritters. All so good — fritters are a must. Steak and salmon for meals and both were on point. Prepared to order, flavorful. Cannoli for dessert and wasn’t mad we ordered : Had a couple drinks from their cocktail menu that were great as well. Spot is small so likely best for a date night or small group but with advanced notice could probably do something bigger.
Green beans and the Gnocchi are my favorite dishes! Each bite of them takes me to heaven. If you choose the right wine - the owner provided me a good recommendation - it’s everything you need for a night of happiness. It’s a lovely place with lovely people. Can’t wait to visit again.
Food was okay. Food should not be “okay” when it’s $25+ per entrée. The food was neither special nor creative. Following the pandemic, restaurants have kept their sidewalk outdoor eating spaces, including mkt. I realize you can make more money from these space, but maybe we should check-in with ourselves if they should be kept open when they cannot be properly heated. We opted to eat outside assuming the outside space is properly heated. We’ve been okay at other restaurants outside. But atlas, their heaters were not up to par. We tried turning their heaters up to high, but we tripped a breaker heat, lights, and music all shut off—awkward. My rating of the food is likely significantly impacted by the fact it was basically cold after 2 minutes. If tables cannot be properly heated, they should not be offered at all. Further, it took awhile to get our food, so I wonder if the kitchen can even handle these extra tables. That all being said, the servers were very pleasant, but perhaps less attentive to the outside tables. I cannot blame you. Fritters were yummy.
Incredible service, lovely staff. The new owner even came out with a fun hibiscus tea before our appetizers. Apologies to the staff for having to deal with the pretentious douchecanoe complaining about not being able to use his gift cards from the previous restaurant and then spending far too much time berating the wait staff and then the owner because, let’s be real, dude was too cheap to pay for the meal he ordered so he made it everyone’s problem. Owning a new restaurant is tough, but y’all are doing great! Don’t let mister “I only eat camping pasta and my standards are low because I’m a twatwaffle trying to impress my date.” News flash homie - you’re only embarrassing yourself. Some people don’t deserve kindness, I hope you comped his meal so he could take his precious gift cards and go cry to Ethan Stowell. Dude looks like he tips 10%, cries when the ice melts in his drinks and demands to “speak to the manager” at every restaurant in hopes of getting a free meal. Drop by MKT! Tip your wait staff, be kind, and don’t be like Chad - bring enough to pay for your food, tip the staff well, and behave like a grateful human because you can always cook your own food. Signed, The guy who didn’t need a gift card or a lesson in compassion.
Went here on New Years with friends. The place was packed and everyone was having a good time. The owner let's us stay past closing to ring the new year. He even let in other guests in and cooked for them. The staff had already left and the owner worked with the walk ins! Great drinks. Great food. Great service.
My wife and I were very excited to dine here the other night, but after our experience, we left very unimpressed. We spent well over $250 for drinks and food. We ordered the polenta fritters and green beans for an appetizer. The fritters were good but not worth the $16 price tag. Greens beans were slightly grilled and undercooked, might as well served them raw. $12 for about 4oz of green beans is a bit ridiculous. My wife ordered the beef cheek Ragu. I enjoy al dente noodles but not hard. The noodles needed another minute or two. My duck was very unimpressive. Three small prices for $40 3-4 oz with some cranberry sauce. It was at least cooked at a good temp but maybe crisp the skin so it not so rubbery. I'm glad we experienced this place but not worth our money to dine here again. There were three positive things that I can list. 1 Server was excellent 2 Drinks were prepared very well 3 Dessert was good
We had a lovely meal at mkt with a starter of the most amazing green beans roasted then swirled in fines herbs, a cacio y pepe bucotini and roaated quail in fiq sauce. The accompanying wine was as lovely as the food and the service impeccable. I would not miss this tiny gem of a restaurant.Food: 5/5
Really a lovely meal and great service in these weird times. The scallops were fantastic- negroni was perfectly balanced, and the fritters were the best I’ve had. Enjoyed chatting with the chefs briefly too- very considerate and friendly!
