Delicious authentic Taiwanese comfort food. Better than one of their popular P competitors. Limited seating approximately 24 Great service; a very friendly and polite boss lady towards her customers and to her staff. One single stall washroom. Apps were freshly fried and crispy. I found the pieces a bit too big for myself. But overall delicious. The pigs intestine noodle also came with oysters where their competitors don't offer. Delicious as well. Their well known minded pork rice was delicious and generous in portion. I wish the meat was a bit more fatty and saucier though. They also offer their in house made spicy bean paste. Great little gem!
I haven't been back to Taiwan in a few years so this place kind of hit the spot, made me feel like I was back in Taiwan, but I wouldn't say it tasted amazing. If you are craving for some Taiwanese food, then definitely worth a try. I felt like some of the flavors weren't quite there, maybe it has been modified to suit the Canadian taste buds. The pork hocks was probably the best dish.
It is still in soft opening, it serves home style Taiwanese food. The signature meat soup was good but not something that you would be hooked. The fried tofu was a little bit under cooked to my liking, like it more crispy outside. The fish egg pancake was tasteful. The boiled chicken was tender, slightly bland though. The service was excellent.
We stumbled upon this place by accident, when the line for dim sum was too long at another restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised! Staff here were super helpful explaining the menu to us. Most of us ordered the taiwanese braised beef noodle soup which was delicious, and the fried chicken and corn pancakes were good side dishes too. Note it is a small restaurant, but they are pretty quick at getting food out so the wait seems to not be too long.
Truly authentic and really tasteful Taiwanese cuisine located in a nice plaza on Highway 7 in Richmond Hill. Service is very friendly. Prices are really reasonable for the quality and portions. There is usually a lineup during busy lunch and dinner hours but worth the wait. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
The bento rices have great portions. The fried pork ribs option was very well flavoured and juicy, exceeding expectations! The marinated cold cuts could be a bit more savoury or spicy, but overall good portions and taste. Didn’t get to try the drinks, so will come back for house-made mixed juices or soy drinks.
Food is great! There is little seating and there will likely be a wait, but the line moves fairly quickly. Those sitting by the door will get a big chill every time the door opens so wear your thickest sweeter if you're coming in the winter. Ordered the pork cutlet noodle, popcorn chicken, and pork floss pancake. Comfort food to the max. And the pork floss pancake is the perfect breakfast item They also have the house made spicy sauce, great for those who like a tiny bit spicy but it won't be spicy for anyone who is accustomed to eating spicy foods.
Line up 30 minutes and finish our food within 15 minutesvery rush Dose it worth the hype? Meh.. Ordered 2 noodles, 1 popcorn chicken, 1 egg rolls ends up $50 after tax. The food is actually not bad compared what we had in Taiwan. But definitely not worth lining up for 30 minutesvery limited sitting area There are better options for Taiwanese Cuisine in GTA. Papa Chang is still my favorite of all time.
esp that Tofu is way toooo salty!! Prices are average. I will return next time to try their other noodles dishes I know there were lots people waiting at the door, we were trying to eat as quickly as possible but at the end one of the guy just took away my bowl without asking there were still a piece of tomato and meat that I haven’t finished better ask the customer before taking away their bowls We have four people and the whole meal time from ordering to leaving the restaurant just took us around 35mins couldn’t enjoy the foods seriously
All the dishes we ordered were very good and authentically Taiwanese. Beef noodle, thickened pork soup, squid, breakfast wrap, and braised pork bao were all excellent. I highly recommend it.
