Frankie’s Nashville Hot Chicken

The food is disgusting. Don't let the pictures fool you. They have a tendency to fry all their food in spoil and rancid oil. The taste makes you want to vomit. This happens 90% of the time and whoever is the chefs needs to be fired today. I would hate to see their kitchen because this level of incompetence is unacceptable and who knows what goes on in that dirty restaurant. The chicken strips tasted like dirt. The fries are dipped in reused oil. The onion rings are the only thing that were somewhat delicious and yet the serving size is for ants. This place needs to be shut down and not a soul would miss it. Avoid and save your time and money, there is better food everywhere. Do better, Frankies.

If you’re looking for a spicy fried chicken sandwich, this is not the place to get it from. Chicken was moist, not crispy and really lacked any flavour. My spice tolerance is extremely low and even this was mild for me. On the bright side, curly fries, coleslaw and pickles are pretty spot on.

Absolutely TERRIBLE place. We ordered chicken sandwiches and they were awful. The chicken was bland even though it was supposed to be spicy, the meat tasted stale and like plastic, the portion was tiny and the breading had no flavor. They make the chicken look bigger in the pics but clearly we were cat fished, it is the size of a smal tim hortons donut, for you to charge the premium price for lack lack luster quality is a slap in the face to all consumers. We went back to ordering from Ramonas kitchen on Yonge st...its way better in every way for the same price.

Very disappointed in their spice level. I will say their chicken was very moist and pickles were amazing. However the spice level was not there at all. Got both the Nashville hot and Hot AF and neither of them lived up to the name. Another case of someone trying to join a trend but not delivering on spice level. Tabasco will give you a better kick.

My boyfriend and I found this place on Google to try the curly fries, the place was so hard to find, we drove around three times to find it. Don't know if it was the day, there were very few waiters in the shop, after a few minutes of waiting we finally ordered and was told 5-10 minutes for the food to be ready. My boyfriend and I got back to the car and we wanted the hottest and freshest chips, so after five minutes he went back to pick up our meal. But I waited in the car for 15 minutes and he didn't come back, so I called him. The lady who took our order finally realized that my boyfriend was waiting at the door and asked him "what are you waiting for?" Yes, the fries were already ready and we went to pick up our food long ago, it's just me Still got cold fries.

I deeply regret not listening to these reviews… I saw they had a 9.4 rating on Skip and the pics looked so good, I figured I would try for myself. Total waste of money. The chicken is rubbery. No sauce at all. No salt. No seasoning. It tastes like boiled Unseasoned chicken breast. The curly fries you would think can’t go too wrong right?! They came cold, soggy and sweet. Avoid this place at all cost. Listen to the reviews.

Ordered through skip the dish- The Buy One Get One free deal for their signature sandwich. I couldn't find the restaurant and called in- they are inside the Lone Star in Richmond Hill, not a problem. The food was the issue. I didn't mind it being soggy as it was my fault for picking it up late. However, they were really small and not at all like how they looked in the picture. I don't expect it to look the same but atleast similar. The chicken inside it was almost black and tasted like plastic. Lacked flavoring, so I added my own spicy mayo sauce to it. The bread was also coming off. Unfortunately would not go again.

Not the greatest experience having just finished my meal. To start off, they forgot about 50% of my meal. At first I noticed they forgot my drink, okay mistakes happen, so I went back and got my drink. After arriving back home and opening my meal I realized in addition they forgot my coleslaw and dip as well so I was left with garlic bread, chicken and fries. It may be small sides but I pay for a combo and I would expect to receive what I pay for. Aside from that the fries were good but that is about all I can say. The chicken was bland as other have said and not very spicy as well as quite soggy and I ate it straight from the restaurant with about a 3 min drive. Disappointing experience especially as there are not that many good fried chicken places in Richmond Hill.

Decided to give this place a try so we could try and support different places during the pandemic. Big mistake on my part. We ordered the 20 strip combo for the family and the chicken wasn’t even edible. It was so dry and over cooked, the breading was literally black. I don’t understand how they thought it was ok to send this out. Fries and onion rings were fine but when you can’t eat the chicken you ordered that was $70 what’s the point really right? We had to order a pizza cause the chicken was so bad.

For those who don't know fried chicken and potatoes in all shapes and sizes are my kryptonite. Frankies hit all the spots for me! The curly fries caught my attention since I usually have to drive 1.5 hours all the way to Arby's for curly fries. Frankies blew my mind! I ordered it two days straight just so I can try the sandwich and then the tenders on its own. For the sandwich I ordered Nashville hot which was meh... I found the Popeyes sandwich to actually be better but the tenders on its own MY MY MY YUMMMMMMM. Especially the dips they have to offer Frankies signature dip, honey dill, and ranch. I HAD THEM ALL ! The winner is definitely honey dill! For the tenders I got HOT AF and to me it was just right. Nothing killer spicy, it was more of a sweet heat with a very pleasant kick to it..... Frankies you have stole my heart and I am going to be a forever customer for as long as you're open! Btw the curly fries are better than Arby's!
