The Nest Cafe

What a lovely surprise. We tried this 7 years ago when it was new. Lovely place, great location, but sadly average coffee. We were told it’s under new ownership, about 1.5 years now, and getting great word of mouth. Coffee and snacks were superb, served with a lovely smile by a lovely, helpful young lady, Ray. Purchased some whole bean coffee and a candle, too. It’s back to being our local. A five minute walk. Happy days.

I was super excited to see The Nest was open Tuesday. I stopped for a quick coffee and was delighted to see all of these scrumptious bistro style sandwiches. I tried the Yorkie Roast Beef & it was SPECTACULAR. The coffee was stellar and then I decided to have the Black Bean Brownie that was equally delicious. Can’t wait to go back! The new management was super friendly and enthusiastic. The attention to detail was second to none. If you haven’t been here you won’t be disappointed. What an amazing coffee shop that will be a frequent venue for myself and friends.

Love this place. Staff and ambiance is welcoming. Coffee is amazing and food is great too. Located just off the galloping goose trail, it’s the perfect stop to grab a treat on your way.

Great place for bikers and joggers passing by Galloping Goose trail. One side of the Cafe is facing the trail hence access is easy, both from street and trail. Parking is available inside the premises. Can get air and tools for bike for free here. Food is good but quite expensive. Huge outdoor space with lots of different types of chairs and table to accommodate varied group of crowd.

Amazing welcoming new owner opens this great location upscale cafe. The menu showcases a variety of tasty eats including vegetarian and vegan options. Prices are modest and quality is high. Come in from the cold and you will leave as a friend. Also enjoy the massive outdoor patios dog friendly with nice views along side the galloping goose trail. Lots of bike parking. Parking: Lots of parking - for vehicles and bikes.

Fantastic coffees. Have not tried any of their bakery treats yet, but they look great. Other light eats are available. The cafe is nested in a well treed natural setting just off the Galloping Goose bike/walking trail. Comfortable outdoor and indoor seating. Creative indoor and outdoor art creations including tidy little bird houses tucked into the beautiful natural setting. Pleasant friendly service.

Lovely service, cute place. Didn’t try the coffee, just the food. So expensive. The size of a McDonalds breakfast sandwich for $10. $30 for 2 people, a sandwich each, with tap water after a 20% tip. Ouch. It was yummy, just underwhelming.

Good food and coffee in an excellent location of the Galloping Goose trail. Lots of seating outdoors on two levels, scattered around the property which is excellent for privacy and physical distancing. Lots of space for securing bikes.

This cafe is designated as an 'Approved Eatery' for the Bike Across Canada Route Network. It's an ideal stop for cyclists, there is a bike repair stand with tools available on request, and lots of places to park your bicycle. And a great Chai latte. :

Very cute little cafe and coffee shop in a neighborhood that lacks great coffee options! Quiet space with outdoor seating and delicious bakeries and lunch options. I enjoy an almond milk latte with their gluten-free black bean brownie!
