"We are a jolly gang who have decided fulfill our dream & open a cafe! We are thrilled to be bravely pioneering new flavours for our lovely locals, the far-away foodies & the outright coffee addicts. Empassioned by top notch coffee & food, we have re-settled in our childhood suburb to grow our little community of friendly foodie folks. Tucked away in the back streets of Ashburton, we have been cooking, baking, and brewing up a storm since mid 2016. Next time you find yourself in Ashburton, come & say hello over a slice of house made cake! See you soon!"

A perfect place to sit and enjoy coffee and food especially on a winter sunny morning. I love that they have plenty of vegetarian options to choose from too. They have few specials written in the board inside, don't forget to check that. The chai latte is just super good and they serve it so well. The staff are warm and welcoming too!
My favourite brunch spot! I’ve been back again and again for the waffles and am eagerly awaiting their return from the holiday season. The rhubarb although sadly not present in the photo below and lemon curd combination is an absolute winner. Great coffee too. I haven’t been able to branch out because I love the waffles too much but I’ve snuck a bite of the chilli scramble which was also amazing!
Pretty nice and relaxed place out in the burbs on a quiet strip of shops. People were friendly and obliging. Outdoor seating with lots of people with dogs. Cafe itself is quite small and cosy. Coffee was ok and sourdough is noisette. Charged $12 for coffee and one slice of plain toast which is expensive. Recommended, eating off the menu is probably better value.
Wow! Best toastie ever! This lovely neighbourhood cafe really lifts above the average with some delicious interpretations of brunch classics eg, waffles, avi on toast, brekkie burrito, egg & bacon roll, etc. Nothing crazy, just really, really tasty. Nice smiley service and excellent coffee as well.
a cosy and friendly neighborhood cafe with a good range of food options and a list of specials really enjoyed the tomato and funnel soup, my friends ordered chilli scramble egg which was also yummy! tumeric latte was a heart-warming drink with bunch of health benefits, especially for winter walking distance parkings are available, booking recommended if you are going on a weekend but usually there will be seats available shortly. enjoy your visit!
I’ve been coming here for a few months now and every time the food and drinks are spectacular. Staff are friendly, this really is a golden community cafe.
Cozy cafe. We tried the roasted cauliflower soup and cappuccino. Both were good!
My favourite café for a late breakfast or delicious lunch. Excellent service always. Super friendly and welcoming. The food has always been great
Habitat is a favourite of ours. It's consistently reliable for its quality of food and coffee. I've never walked away hungry from ordering a meal there.
4 star This little cafe in a quiet shopping strip is such a gem! The staff are friendly, they have high chairs, kids menu and a toy box for kids. We ordered a sesame avocado w kale and eggs changed from poached to fried and added a side of spinach. The whole plate came out looking fresh, plentiful and healthy! The sesame crusted avocado tasted delish, the eggs are beautifully cooked. The only complaint I had was the kale was drenched in oil, hence the 4 rating. The soy chai was made w real spices, and cake with a strainer so you won’t get bits of spice in your tea. Love that they gave me honey to sweeten the chai rather than the usual sugar which many cafes uses. I would love to visit again!
