My husband and I recently attended one of Chef Castro's "Dinner and Music Nights" and we were both completely blown away by the experience. Each of the six courses were thoughtfully prepared and presented as edible art...the evening was a total masterpiece! Thank you so much to Chef Castro and his fantastic team for a wonderful night. I highly recommend this high class foodie experience as a date night or fun night out with friends. Cheers!

I no longer will be supporting your company or your restaurant. As a disabled customer who parked in the customer parking and came in and purchased items, I am extremely disappointed that the head chef and claims to be the owner instead of supporting your customers who come to purchase from your store and your restaurant you block them in and refuse to move your vehicle because I might not be a customer. Terrible arrogance and customer service

We scheduled a cooking class with Castro and our business team. What an amazing experience! Castro has such a deep understanding of the culinary arts and does a fantastic job creating a relaxed environment for everyone. The food an the company was perfect. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a new experience or to broaden their cooking skills.

Castro and the staff at HOB and HOB Fine Foods are 1st rank professionals whose passion and knowledge of our seasonal ingredients, defines the west coast with an African twist. Great fresh meals which are easy to take and go. I highly recommend the cooking class as well. It was an excellent team building event and excellent food.

The HOB team catered for my intimate wedding in Port Renfrew. There were no objections to travelling the distance from Victoria, the catering manager and Chef Castro were both highly responsive with any inquiries or concerns leading up to our event. Chef Castro's team was timely, efficient, professional, polite, and helpful. We never had the opportunity to ask them for anything because they anticipated our every need, and we heard from every one of our guests that it was the best food they've ever eaten at a wedding. I can't recommend House of Boateng enough.

I had a bad experience at their cafe down the street and never went back there but I was recently back in the area with a friend and we stumbled upon their apparent second location here and my friend asked to go in. We did and we found something we wanted and we stood at the check out by the door for 5 or so minutes and absolutely no one came. There was only us not busy at all and this assumingely employee who just sat on a stool using her laptop by the open kitchen and completely ignored us! Definitely don’t understand how HOB is getting so much fame for lackluster customer service.

We stopped in for a look and left with some of the best Mac and Cheese I've ever tasted. We ate it for dinner with a salad and some of their candied Jalapeños, it was so good! I cant wait to try their other take and bake items. One of the best in the city in my opinion, so awesome that it is in Langford. Really nice people too.

Such a great experience! We did a team cooking class with Castro and his team and we had a blast. It was a very engaging class where everyone was involved in the cooking process. Highly recommend it!

Outstanding! HOB makes fantastic take & bake foods plus it's the perfect place to pick up high quality and delicious sauces, dressings and preserves. It's exciting to see the new local items arrive all the time. I'm looking forward to attending their cooking classes and events soon!
