Cora

Cora is a great place for breakfast, any time of the breakfast through late lunch day. (Come afternoon tea or dinnertime, they are closed.) But while they're open you can get a huge variety of eggs, pancakes, waffles or crepes, with sides of meats, potatoes, or lots of fresh fruit. Cora's can be a bit pricey, but itcs a breakfast to satisfy. Frequently crowded but always clean and prompt service.

This is an excellent place to get breakfast food at anytime of the day! Of all the locations and Ottawa, this is the one that has the lease accessible parking so it may be better to access it via public transit. One should note that by default you were given table syrup and if you want actual maple syrup you must pay extra to get some. They serve traditional Quebec breakfast dishes such as crepes and waffles.

Food was pretty good... although I ordered over medium eggs but the yolk was still very runny (more like over easy); but whatever it was still not bad. However, the main problem was our waitress, Alyssa. She constantly came over not 20 minutes after we were served the food and asked us if we were still working on it. Afterwards, she came by every two or three minutes and asked us the same thing when it was obvious that we were still eating and chewing on food. It felt like she was rushing us to leave (even though we hadn't been in the restaurant for even an hour). The hostess was nice though.

Even though it was quite busy (as we were visiting during the sunday brunch rush), the staff were very prompt and attentive. Our waiter was very charming and nice. Food was above the standard I have experienced at other Cora restaurants. Delightful visit.

If you like the food here, you are impressed by people who can make toast, then bring it to the table cold. Just like mom used to make.
