Great atmosphere here. Live bands are always good. Been a few times now and I'm never disappointed! David the bartender makes the best mixed cocktails you've ever had. He is also very nice :) I haven't tried the food yet, but it smells awesome haha I would recommend giving it a try if you are in the neighbourhood.

This is!, in my opinion, the best pub in Ottawa. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable on their selections and are always kind and curteous. They have an incredible selection of single malts and have the corresponding tasting notes. The food is of superb quality, delivered piping hot and quick. Whether you are in town for a night or live in Ottawa The Highlander Pub should be on your must visit list.

Absolutely fantastic. Clearly fresh food, nice pub grub with a Scottish twist. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Best scotch selection in town and the staff has an aficionado's palate and the knowledge to match if you're unsure. Fish and chips is the best I've had outside of the Maritimes albeit not a big portion. Overall it is my very favorite pub and I'm a bit of a foody and a huge scotch aficionado/nerd.

Going here to have lunch was the worst mistake of my trip. All their food is frozen and most likely bought from a supermarket. Their fish and chips is chewy and obviously store bought. Their roast beef tastes like it's from a can, with minimal meat content, and very salty. Their soup has the consistency of yogurt. Their burger is definitely store bought and not fresh. Their salad dressing is "solid"...no, not solid as a compliment, solid as in "not liquid". It wouldn't run even when I turned the cup upside down. Absolutely one of the worst places that you can go to on earth. This place should not be allowed to serve what they call food.

Food was okay. Nothing special with the butter chicken. Service was a little slow. I didn’t appreciate how the table next to us was served ahead of us even though we were seated first. They also got their food first. That wasn’t cool. The only thing I really loved was this older gentlemen (who worked here) who talked to us about Scotland and how beautiful it is. Very friendly man, made the visit worthwhile! @nomsoftoronto
