The Grand Pizzeria and Bar

We like this place a lot. The kids always ask if we can go here when we are in "the market". Great pizza. Pasta dishes look and smell amazing (gawking at what others have ordered) though I have never actually ordered pasta. Has a nice patio area in the summer so you can sit outside, enjoy a drink, and people watch. It is a little on the expensive side. We (wife, two kids and I) went for lunch (1 pizza, 1 entree, 1 appetizer, 2 kids meals, and 3 adult beverages) and spent about $110 including tip. The service was on point though and always seems to be when we visit. Definitely worth checking out if you've never been!

For a place in the middle of the most touristy area in Ottawa, I think that they offer reasonably good food. The atmosphere is very lively as they're always very busy being in the center of Byward market. The pizzas are good, but nothing over the top. However, I really liked the Spinach dip they had. We go there just for that as my 3yr old son really likes it as well.

The pizza was sooooooo cheesy and delicious and the waitress was really nice. I enjoyed the ambiance and the food was good. The dessert however wasn’t as good as the pizza. I got some fried treat. I should have listened to the waitress ha ha ha.

Good location, nice dining experience but many negatives. Their pizzas were expensive and beyond disappointing costing 20 dollars for a greasy mess. They also insist on purchasing their over-priced alcohol with the cheapest alcohol being 8 dollars. The waiter was unprofessional, openly insisting to my party and I that by not tipping 20% we were costing him 5% of his pay. This simply absurd and extremely unprofessional. I will not return here again

Great place to have a good time with friends. The location is perfect (Byward Market) and the beer are good too. Great choice of pizza. Probably return.
