The Home Depot

I was wrong below. The main door wasn't operation properly and I thought it was closed - but it was actually open! Should have used the contractor door. Revised the stars rating. Originally said: Online says they open at 6. Not true. Wasted my time going there. Get your act together with your online presence!

Best service I have ever received from Home Depot today. Whoever was working the paint section defined customer service. Great experience!

It was nice and quiet during a weekday daytime, and the staff are very helpful, although hard to find sometimes. I wandered around looking for someone to cut some wood for me for a while. I wish they had those help-needed buttons you can push like at Lowes.

Unfortunately, I have never had a good experience in this store. I would prefer to shop locally, but sometimes Home Depot only carries what I'm looking for. One of the few times I've been there, I got called an "unintelligent woman who should leave men's work for men" when I asked for a specific type of screw. More recently, I asked a guy in doors and windows a question about stock, he didn't even think about moving out of his chair at his computer or check stock. The second guy I spoke to checked stock AND checked the surrounding shelves, he found what I was looking for - he was awesome.

This is probably my favourite Home Depot store in the Ottawa area. Good friendly services. However, trying to find a store associate can be hard sometimes. The pro desk guys are very friendly and eager to help. Maybe that's why they always busy.
