The Historic Plains Hotel

If you like historical and vintage decor you will love this hotel. The location is perfect and restaurant and lounge is great with live music some nights. The only drawback for me is the hotel room itself. It's very old and dated with paint chips everywhere. We had a queen size room with a great view but it was TINY and lacking even some basics like tissues, HOT water and extra pillows (only 2 provided). We stayed for 3 nights and HAD TO request housekeeping. I ended up cleaning it myself and waited for garbage removal and towels. This place could be a real gem with some room improvements that is desperately needed. A renovated room can look clean and fresh without stripping it's history and character.

Great location. Love historic hotels of the West. Good complimentary breakfast buffet in the morning. Three brew pubs within a couple blocks too. Nice bar off the lobby as well. Friendly bartender.

If you're looking for a great place to stay while you're in Cheyenne this is definitely the place the breakfast is an all-you-can-eat hot Buffet I had two types of eggs sausage bacon potatoes and so much other stuff that I couldn't eat. On top of that the beds are very comfortable flat panel TVs and the front desk staff and everyone I encountered was very friendly. Highly recommended wish there was more hotels like this still around

The people are really nice. The staff are very helpful and understanding. The building has a convertible feel about it and the room's are nice as well. It's easy to get around from there as well. I would recommend it to anyone that is on vacation,broke down,or just needs a night or two of rest. The place is the best hotel I've ever went to the price is fair too.I miss it already

A wonderful historic place to stay! The rooms reflect the time period when this hotel was in it's heyday. Artwork hangs on the walls and line the hallways to remind the visitor of a time long since past. Furniture throughout the hotel was spectacular to look at. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. My one disappointment was that the old bar downstairs no longer served it's purpose. I highly recommend this hotel.
