The Guru Fine Indian Cuisine

I went to The Guru restaurant tonight with my gorgeous wife and had an absolutely amazing dinner and sensational overall experience. I was very shocked and appalled to read some of the ludicrous reviews on Google that are completely baffling. My wife and I had the polar opposite experience compared to what some reviewers have posted online. The ambiance was wonderful, the food was very delicious and arrived at the appropriate time, the service was excellent and the staff and management was very helpful, polite and courteous. The owner and staff had great recommendations and made sure that our request of mild spicy food was taken into consideration. Also, there are no issues with any racial bias or prejudice as proclaimed by some other reviewers, since my wife is Caucasian and my background is South Asian. I have been to hundreds of South Asian restaurants in North America, Middle East and Asia and I can most definitely recommend The Guru as one of the finest establishments offering great, traditional, authentic Indian cuisine.

Server Gratuity was added in the bill which I believe should not be there. It’s good to give tip as per your wish rather adding forcefully in the bill. Other wise food was good. Thanks

This place offers great food, lots of excellent choices for vegetarian meals. Portion sizes were a little small as compared to what is expected for the price. Recommendations from the menu by the server were very helpful. Attentive service. Doesn't take American Express, which was very disappointing.

This place has amazing Indian food. I've grown up eating Indian dishes so this is saying something! I absolutely love their Daal, can't remember the name of the particular one, but it's different from the usual and the best I've ever tasted! Good service and nice atmosphere for dinner with family or friends.

Visited this place a couple of time before as well but now the portions has gotten so smaller that even my bird's seed tray is bigger. They are not honest either, we ordered 6 naans and they cut them into 3-4 pieces to make em look a lot. Now for the food, they have lost that authentic Indian flavor. Their food is so blunt tasteless
