The Gentlemen Plumbers

My initial phone call was answered by an articulate and helpful person who made the initial costs of the plumber's visit clear to me. I was given a choice of appointment times, and she advised me that I'd receive a call prior to the plumber arriving. That happened as promised. David was the plumber who arrived, on time, in a company vehicle, and was well groomed. He was polite, courteous, knowledgeable, and diagnosed and fixed my problem really quickly. He patiently explained important parts of my furnace and hot water system to me. He offered a free inspection of my house's plumbing, which I agreed to. He pointed out an issue that had actually been troubling me for some time and offered to repair it immediately. He gave me a clear quote of what the repair would cost. He effected the repair carefully and skillfully and cleaned up after he was done working. I received my detailed receipt by email almost immediately. I could not ask for better service. When hiring any professional to come to your home and provide a service, it costs money. Plain and simple. For the work completed, I'm not complaining in the least about the cost of it. I will gladly use this company in future and equally as gladly recommend them to my friends.

Hire these plumbers if you want your pocketbook gouged. Called beforehand to ask what I would be paying for them to come in and look at a leaky shower head and running toilet. They said $69.95. Sounds reasonable, right? When they showed up, I got quoted $954 to replace a toilet and cartridge in the shower head. I said to hold off as that seemed crazy pricey. When discussing paying the plumber it's actually $69.95 for them to come to your door (and travel fee). Another $153 for them to "diagnose" the problem. So I paid $234 for him to tell me what's wrong... I just wish they would have been upfront with initial cost.

Edmonton Nov. 21, Hester out at 11pm. Gentlemen Plumbers Edmonton were my third 24 service offered call, the previous two 24 ones could not send anyone until next day after 10am. With minus 17 (windchill -22) and 50+ old home and average insulation I was desperate to at least speak to a tech who might be able to guide me over the phone on perhaps being able to simply turn a switch on. Luckily I got a a phone call from someone out of their Calgary office who asked me pertinent questions re type of furnace, try this and that but no success. Asked that I wait for a call back which I got within 20 minutes and advised that a tech was finishing up and would be by in the next hour. I got lucky!!! Nick, arrived about 25 minutes later. He found the problem, a major one, in no time at all. Checked to see if he had the part in his vehicle, thankfully he had three similar ones and one of them was the right fit. He was the best tech I have ever dealt with showed me everything he did, didn’t treat me as if I was ignorant of the situation. I hope I have this very experienced and professional young man again if we need their services in future. Gratefully, Patti

We have been with Gentlemen plumbers for a number of years and are always impressed by their promptness in coming to our aide. They have a friendly yet professional approach where they look at the situation, tell us how much it's going to cost up front before proceeding to work. Their prices are reasonable and their work is guaranteed and they clean up after themselves when they are finished working! Thanks again guys! You truly are Gentlemen!! Trish and Dan

We had two bathroom vanity sink drains that required about 8 inches of ABS pipe and 2 couplers to be replaced with about $40 dollars worth of material. Two service men were in our home for 1.5 hours and we were charged over $1100 for the service. We were shown a rate sheet for a level of service that was well beyond the scope of what was actually completed. This resulted in each plumber costing us over $330 dollars per hour for the time that they were in our home doing very very basic plumbing service. I emailed my concerns to their management and didn't even get a response. I would not recommend this company at all.
