I came here late night after 11pm during their soft opening. The food is high quality and very fresh, which sets itself apart from other hotpot places. The soup is flavorful and rich, but not overwhelmingly seasoned, which is a big plus. The vibe and decoration are suitable for bringing friends and families with their servings of individual pot. I can tell the servers are very new and need more training, but they are genuinely willing to help. Overall it’s a positive experience.

I enjoyed the personal hot pots here. The silver broth was very tasty and full of flavor. Owen, our server, was friendly and attentive. The vanilla soft serve ice cream was better than any other soft serve I’ve had. Really like this place!  I do wish they would do broth flights so you can pick which one you like. They have many options.

Our servers Jay and Daniel made the night wonderful! Food was fresh and tasty. I ordered the tomato soup base, it tasted creamy and rich, and as well very delicious. Seats were nice and comfortable. Parking at the rear is huge and convenience. But one little suggestion, if the sauce table size can increase a bit and also the kinds can be vary, it would be perfect.

Awesome new location on Kingsway! Very spacious restaurant with comfortable seating. Be sure to make a reservation online via Yelp or give them a  call for bigger groups.  I had a reservation for 6 people and we were promptly seated. Service was great. Our server was Owen, and he explained the menu, sauces and the restaurant very well. He was also super prompt with service.  This Kingsway location has some unique items, including the golden soup chicken broth. I like the sauce station with other appetizers including edamame, peanuts, grapes, melons and watermelon. There’s also the live seafood too!  We ordered a ton of food to share and everything tasted great. Very high quality ingredients. My favorites are the wagyu beef and the shrimp paste with the exquisite silver soup.  Ended the meal off with ice cream! They charge 2% fee for credit cards but it’s waived if you fill out the survey.

New location for the one of my favorite hot pot restaurant. Their quality of foods and service are always the best. All the hot pot ingredients are so fresh so I can always order with trust. Soup bases are flavourful and tasty. And the free soft serve ice cream after the meal is extra joy! I love that they stay open late so I can always have my favorite hot pot late night

This is the second Dolar location in Burnaby and it is now my go to hot pot place!  For this one, they have two new soup at this location.  First off, they a “golden” soup and it is super rich and yummy. If you are a spicy fan, you can try their Sauerkraut soup which is super flavourful and u don’t need any dipping sauce.  The whole dining experience was incredible as always. Min was attentive and came by to check up on my table despise how busy he was. He always has a smile on his face and was friendly and helpful.  Don’t forget to order their banana pancake and also try the savoury wagyu pancake if you have time.  Dessert hack: ask the server for a side of the soft serve to got with the banana pancake.  In terms of this location, they have private rooms that are available for bigger group on the side and I love the decor.  Last but not least, parking is free and it’s behind the store. You will need to take the elevator up and lots of street parking is available as well. You can even go for karaoke after dinner   I will definitely be going back soon to try their late night specials!

Been going to the Richmond and Station Square location for years and had to try out their newest location. Excellent service and food as always! I had made a reservation for dinner but arrived about an hour early, big shout out to Min who was super helpful and managed to get us seated without having to wait too long when he was already so busy and all the tabled booked. The soup fish soup base is very tasty and I think it's one of their new menu items. Already came for a second time and definitely will be back again!

I’m the huge fan of their food, I usually be here like every 2 weeks. I love the warm service and food is so fresh and tasty. It should be a 5 stars review but I give them 4 stars. The one stars down was for the last time a girl called Lillian was being kinda mean and rude to us. Even I let her call her manager here but she didn’t do it at all. I don’t want to be disrespectful or mark down my favorite hot pot due to this only one person but she gives me a attitude like she doesn’t care about us or even her job at all. The manager and other staff were so nice and they easily deal with the conflict and I really love them and the whole team. Jay is my second server and he was super awesome.

What a pity to wait until 10pm just for low cost special seasonal combos like ones in station square storeUnfortunately it starts from TOMORROW!  Finally I found Many special low price dishes in tasting menu.  Hope owner keep special tasting menu forever and don't be too mean. Otherwise, price is too high to repeat visiting frequently. Once per month is at most for me. Business time is much later than station square store with opening until 1am.

As fans of the Station Square location, we were very excited to try this new Kingsway location. This location definitely felt more open and spacious, and we felt less cramped at our table.  Service was phenomenal as always at Dolar - Min and his team were friendly and attentive. We never had to flag any server down and they checked up on us regularly.  The quality of the food was top-notch - all the items we ordered were fresh and well-presented. In particular, we tried this thicker cut of wagyu they said was only available at this location and it was probably our favourite meat dish so far - juicy and melty though it’s certainly pricier than the others.  But the real star of the show is always the broth. We have not found a hotpot restaurant that serves more delicious soup bases than Dolar with the flavourful and meaty Silver soup being our go-to. They have new soup base options the rich Golden chicken soup and a spicy and sour soup with slices of fish but we find the Silver base still can’t be beat with Tomato in a close second.  And of course the creamy and complimentary soft-serve ice cream cone to wrap up the meal is already well-known and legendary!  Couldn’t have been more pleased with our meal here and will be back very soon!
