The Columbia Diner

Father's day being special day I went here with my wife and daughter for the first time. First of all the whole vibe and looks of the restaurant is awesome, panoramic view of kamloops from the table and beautiful weather today. We ordered multiple items, all of them were amazing, especially their dessert of the day and chicken strips. Have to shout out for their quality of service, though it was full due to fathers day and I could see a short line for waiting, the staff greeted and served everyone without any delay. It was a day well spent and great memories. Planning to go there on next Sunday with friends for 50 cent wings... Cheers !!

Delicious food, incredible view, amazing and friendly service & genuine staff that try to make a connection with their customers. We had a small issue with our meal and they took care of it even though we didn’t think it was necessary. Such a nice surprise!

Good food, great view from the dining area. They need to update their prices on their online menu. I ordered the jalapeño bacon burger. It was very tasty.

Delicious food and great service! We ordered the fried chicken and the jalapeno smash burger. Both were super flavourful and cooked perfectly. The fried chicken was especially good, it was super juicy, the chicken was really flavourful and the batter was light and crispy. Definitely recommend.

Huge portions, small menu. I had heard amazing things and was so excited to try it. The curly fries were a million percent better than Arby's. The burger was .... just okay? Waitress said they are expanding the menu soon and I hope they do as I will be back for another try.

I was underwhelmed. Lured by the 5 star reviews I came for breakfast with hopes of being satisfied with a memorable meal. The place was empty, so service was prompt and my server was friendly. The coffee cream came in an espresso cup- impossible not to spill. My Eggs Benny were not memorable, unless the lingering old grease taste of the frozen No-Name hash brown patties counts as a memory. There were fried onions under my poached eggs, which was a surprise, though not necessarily a pleasant one. I must say the hollandaise was decent. There is room for improvement. I would suggest home made hash, muffins or biscuits, and brighter, lemony rather than oniony flavor to the dish. I’ll give them another chance.

We came in on a whim, we sat on the patio and enjoyed the fall yet summer like weather. We ordered the chicken and waffles and a burger and fries. The taste of the chicken and waffles was very good, but the whole dish was lacking. The waffles were soggy and obviously not freshly made. The chicken was moist but the crunch lacking as the dish seemed that is was reheated in a microwave. The burger was so thin it was barely there. For the prices vs portion sizes it was not worth the stop. Also plating should he rethought if you're plating small potions. The plates were rather large. We won't be back.

So Tuesday is $2 for tacos and $3 for margaritas!! Not only is the price amazing they are top quality delights the tacos have fresh pico the margaritas are huge and rimmed. They have peach,lime, or strawberry and beef and chicken tacos. My favourite is the beef taco and peach margarita, for $5 total I was so impressed oh and bonus the place is very nicely decorated and designed, I’ve also had breakfast here and was very happy. You definitely should check this place out

These people at The Columbia Diner made our Birthday get together a wonderful and memorable experience. They were beyond accommodating. The staff were helpful, friendly and just plain fantastic. Food was delicious. Just an all around great brunch. Thank you so much. We will all be back if you'll put up with this crazy bunch. Lol .

Preferred some takeout and was very pleasantly surprised.. The small burgers are very good! You can substitute bun for lettuce so it feels like you're being healthy haha! I recommend it. It looks like it has a nice patio area as well. I will be back.
