Terra Restaurant

Came here for my wife’s birthday. We ordered their sketch book series and it didn’t disappoint, appetizer was tasty And flavourful, main course was an explosion of taste in-spite of it being a burger, but the dessert was my favourite. It was coconut themed with 4 different textures. Coconut caramel, shredded, custard, whipped cream. Simply amazing

I had the cuchucheri and cheese baord and it was declicious. The entree I picked was lamb and it was good but really fatty. The deserts were amazingly good. I then had the Michael's coffee to end and it was delicious. Service was great and I'll definitely come back again.

Nice organic farm to table. Fresh dishes with complex taste. Presentation was excellent. Quantity was just thinking right. Service was friendly.

All show and no sizzle. A place that makes a huge deal over locally sourced produce and yet takes 25 mins to serve the wrong cheese board, then a further 40mins to serve our mains deserves a critic that's as honest as the day is long. The one constant in our experience at Terra was the waiting staff, but unfortunately you are only as strong as your weakest link and in this case its a head chef that needs more years in a learning position to gain the knowledge he requires to fill his own boots. We had the cheese/charcuterie plate to start and the only thing of any notability on it was the course pate which we later found out, was not even made in house. It was recommended that I have the pork belly and scallops for my main course and regrettably the was more wrong with it than right. The pork belly was fine, but the scallops were over cooked and I could have bounced them out of the door, the jus was over reduced and more marmite than complementary and you top it off the kimchi was lack luster and dull. We didn't stay for dessert. Verdict : OK but not up to hype. Very good service though when the food was eventually ready.

David Tombs makes great food. My wife had the butcher plate. Chicken skewers on a bed of mashed chick peas. The chick peas were amazing. So many layers of flavour. I had steak frites. The frites were fried in duck fat and covered with gouda. My steak, magnificent. Cooked to perfection and seasoned with a sauce that had a tinge of coffee flavour. I recommend this restaurant for a date night or special occasion. Absolutely wonderful.

It was great service amazing food. No complaints at all. Definately an upscale place. Reservations are suggested.

Cheese board and charcuterie is a must. I had the catch of the day which was a Icelandic cod with risotto and prawn cheese sause. Amazing!

One of, if not the, nicest restaurants in Kamloops. I've never had a bad meal here. Be prepared to pay for the best quality and you won't be disappointed.

My mom and I had their tasting menu. One word - Excellent. Very different from most tasting menus in that there is no set menu in advance; the chef prepares whatever he is in the mood to cook. And each person has something different, which is very unique. And the chef comes out to prep you before the meal starts.

Terra offers a unique dining experience. It is fine dining without being pretentious. The menu items which are all locally sourced changes monthly. This includes the wine and spirits! The charcuterie platter is a culinary work of art. It appeals to the eye and the palate. It certainly wins a solid First Place in our mind. The lamb was drop-dead delicious! Each dish we enjoyed was beautifully prepared and presented. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The Chef took the time to visit each table. A very nice touch! Terra is a place to remember and to put on one’s “visit again” list. We highly recommend this restaurant.
