It was alright. The restaurant is one large open space so it was loud. The kitchen is open to to dining area, which was kind of fun to watch. Especially since I was sitting right beside it. Our sever was good, it was a Saturday evening and the restaurant was full, so she was busy. I wasn't happy with my $21 margarita. I couldn't even taste the tequila, wouldn't recommend. Our appetizer was delicious, roti with a curry dip. I had the tuna poke bowl, very good, I liked the fried tofu that was in it. My wife had the house made veggie burger and she enjoyed it. Kitchen got swamped while we were there and there was quite a wait between our appy and dinner, but what do you do?
Excellent service Server was in it to win it! Food was flavorful and beautifully prepared and plated. We went to celebrate my sons newly acquired N license and thoroughly enjoyed the lively atmosphere here. Happy hour is great here. A pint of PBR for $4.00! And the colada crush was fantastic. Great family place and also great for couples/singles. Vegetarian options: Cauliflower rice is a sub.
Very Millennial meets Gen Z vibe. Open, inviting with music playing and a background buzz of people talking happily. The waitresses wore sneakers and all black with accents of white which I loved and it was sort of like walking into a club/cafeteria if you can even put those two things togeter. The chefs wore t-shirts and baseball caps which I really enjoyed and the bar was open from all sides as to really fully appreciate the people watching you could do as a customer. The menu boasted a wide variety of items that could be gluten free or were and the drink list was innovative. The ceilings were as high as the sky, open with an under statement of industrial accents and the biggest features were big beautiful, real plants strewn everywhere. The monochrome swatch for the interior and exterior of Local Public Eatery allowed the features that were to shine to do exactly that. I would definitely go back and I will.
The food was good. A bit salty. I've had better poke bowls, but it was decent. The staff were very friendly, and the lunch atmosphere was nice. I would go back to try something else.Food: 4/5

Fantastic food. A great atmosphere and great staff. Many options in regards to meals and drinks. This chain will do very well in Kamloops if they keep their game up. Staff seem well compensated and content as well. Love to see it.
It’s pretty good, I like the vibe. Very few vegan options, I’ve tried the enchiladas the first time I was there, they were just ok. The second time I asked for a Thai noodle salad, but with tofu instead of chicken. It was great and they made a very good crust as well! Our waitress was lovely too.
Service was top notch. Suggest going a little bit later in the evening to beat the dinner rush. Food was typical pub fair, but with a high end twist. I would definitely go again. Great addition to the Kamloops restaurant seen.

We had the opportunity to go to the Local Public Eatery last night, on the referral of a friend who had recently eaten there. It did not disappoint! The service was very friendly and attentive and the food and beverages were great! It is a very spacious and well designed restaurant, the tables left enough space for people to enjoy their conversations without having to shout or being overheard by other customers. The manager came to our table and welcomed us personally as she had been told it was our first visit there and we had a very pleasant chat with her. I highly recommend this restaurant and the 5 star review is deserving. Parking: Lots of parking and off street. Wheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible with a wheelchair.
